It’s a great podcast. The journalism aspect obviously has lots behind the scenes. I love how he starts with a similar story, takes an add break, then gets into the main story. It’s a cool layout. The narration is VERY monotone- close to no inflection. That’s the only downside to me besides really long ad breaks. I even question whether or not the voice is AI.

This is THE best podcast. Period. That’s all you need to know. Listen. You won’t regret it...unless you’re a total Karen. ACC does a fantastic job of storytelling and he does it all on his own as an independent podcast. Can't praise Swindled and ACC enough!

This is one of the best podcasts out there. I give it 5 stars because it s contents and presentation are deserving of that mark. I’ve listened for free and have had a paid subscription multiple times. I’d like to keep it up, though find it difficult when the episodes are so infrequent and don’t really justify paying on a monthly basis when all you hear is one episode and maybe a bonus show per month, maybe.

Listened to one of these podcast on NPR & was hooked ever since! Love this podcast and how much information and knowledge is gained by listening in a very interesting way. I love how I learn things I never knew before & am able to be more knowledgeable about these topics!!

I have listened to this podcast since episode # 2 , it never ceases to blow my mind. It is researched, written, narrated, edited to perfection with every episode. Entertaining, educational and fascinating! Remains in my top 3 favorite podcasts!

The greatest podcast of all time! Seriously.

I found this show back when it was just starting out, I think around episode three. When subscribing became a thing, I did. It remains the only podcast that I have ever given money to, and I do so happily. These stories, even the more famous ones, are stories that everyone needs to know about! In this era of open greed, corporate corruption and domination, information is the most powerful tool that we have. I have great admiration for a Concerned Citizen and his team, they are doing great work, and I will be listening to anything and everything they put out.

When swindled followed me on twitter I bragged about it for years until I deleted it. What a legend. Anonymity is the way and you are the best podcaster I know!!!! Thank you for your service

Holds people accountable even if our justice system doesn’t often times. Very thorough and well done podcast. I listen to a lot of true crime podcasts but this stands out as one I always recommend at the top of my list

This podcast dramatically conveys the intricacies of white collar crime. These crimes affect so many people, the penalties should really be more severe. Anyone who has called this podcast political has a hidden agenda and is either a bott or a white collar criminal themselves.

Good grief. Tried this podcast because I like stories about fraudsters but anti-Trump talk is ridiculous and alienating to conservative listeners. Such a turn off. Didn't know it was a political podcast. Automatic 1 star.

Been listening for years and finally decided to write an actual review. If you like American Greed, this pod is right up your alley. The host really nails every story and his narration is great!

This podcast is special. I save it for special times when I can really listen to what he is saying. The best narration, the best stories and some that will just blow you away! Can’t get enough, don’t ever stop producing shows.

Just wanted to give love to Swindled. I’ve listened to almost every episode. When I first heard it, I almost didn’t make it through because of narration. The writing is so good though, and now I love his narration, too! Anyway, highly recommend- be open to a different style of podcast.

Concise, informative, doesn’t pretend to be something it’s not! Love this podcast!

Mind. Blown. Again.

One of my favorites. A new episode rarely lasts a few days without being heard. The dude is clever and doesn’t waste time talking about stuff that I don’t care about. Some say he’s monotone, I say it’s the perfect energy to listen to without getting annoyed or swayed by someone else’s emotions. He just tells a story with a perfectly placed zinger from time to time. Listen to a few. If you don’t love it… it’s you, not him.

The audio is masterful. His vocal syntax is incredibly soothing, particularly in the morning when I don’t want anything to shock me from my reverie while drinking coffee and driving. I love the use of sound so much. The jokes are murderous. Like these criminals deserve so much to be mocked publicly. It’s just so satisfying. The writing and delivery are both FLAWLESS. this is a damn master class in podcasting.

This is one of my favorite shows because of the thoughtfulness put into the production Of course ACC is monotone but I love how straightforward he is, explains well for me to understand, and the simplistic delivery of jokes makes me lol It's the only show I'll never cancel my subscription to

Such an interesting podcast. If there was ever a case as to why we have/need necessary regulation, this podcast is it. A Concerned Citizen puts hours and hours of research into each episode and it shows. I appreciate his storytelling style, always touching on the human impact of these stories, with both infuriating and heartbreaking audio mixed in. The episode on the Station Fire is what got me into this podcast, but there have been so many I’ve been fascinated by. ACC, thank you for the time and effort you’ve put into these!

Dry humor and flawless fraud coverage. Perfection.

Listen to the episode. Pay particular attention from 14:17 on. Then remember that Donald J Trump commuted this career criminal’s 7 year prison sentence. Count the number of Republicans who have the denounced Trump for this hideous act. Then remember it on Election Day in 2026.

I’ve always loved Swindled but since The Concerned Citizen has recently shown a bit of their political leanings I love it even more.

I enjoy the telling of the swindle story by ACC. It’s enjoyable and on point. I also appreciate his disclaimer for the merchandise.

Of course, the delightfully tawdry tales are well-researched and recounted in a straightforwardly factual manner. Understated, even droll, with the driest of wits. I’ve noted some complaining that the narration is too understated, even (gasp!) monotonous. I disagree wholeheartedly and really like the cold, clinical style (although it’s clear A.C.C. isn’t exactly neutral when it comes to judging reprehensible conduct). But the complaint is absurd - like saying that Steven Wright should be more fun and animated, or Tiny Tim should sing in a lower, less annoying register. Maybe they should, but then they wouldn’t be the unique acts that (some of us) treasure. The low-key, dispassionate narration here comes from the same place, it’s a choice that well suits the material and the framing (“a concerned citizen,” etc)

The stories are great, but I have to just read the transcripts. The narration is terrible - very monotone, slow, boring and emotionless.

The only thing I hate about this podcast is that I need more of it! But if he runs out of stories I guess that’s a good thing. It’s like buying bananas, you want them, but you’re going to let them rot on the counter, so you’re actually better with less bananas.

I’m here for all the crybaby’s whining about the political tone of the show. A concerned citizen can form their own opinion. Great stories and witty commentary that’s what I’m here for.

Great reporting and interesting storytelling. I learned a lot about several of the scandals A Concerned Citizen covers.

Love the show right up till it became a platform for him to dispute his liberal political views. Wish we could keep politics and personal beliefs on religion out of it, and just have an entertaining show.

I love this show. I just noticed today you promote a company selling bras. How do you know it’s a worthy company? Are you a consumer? Maybe your wife is? Tell us who is wearing/ using the bras…lest we get swindled. Thanks. No shame if you’re a man who wears one, it just crossed my mind… how do you know it’s the most comfortable. lol that’s a bold claim since you didn’t tell us who is wearing them.

This has been my absolute favorite podcast for years. It’s insightful, intelligent and hilarious, even though the stories are usually disheartening (as expected). Thank you, ACC!

Loved this podcast for awhile, but if he truly valued his listeners, he would keep his political views out of the show. Have had to stop listening to more than one episode because he skews the facts in order to work his hatred of our president (and the 50+% of the people who voted conservative) into the story. If you’re making the facts fit your personal narrative, you are no longer reporting. Sad.

I FREAKING LOVE THIS SHOW. I do not pay for anything on here, I can usually go without the “bonus content” that’s promised . Your show though!!! Before I lost everything and re-located my family after losing my job I was a valued listener and enjoyed the “bonus content“. You and your calming voice got me through some rough days recently and I really appreciate your efforts and the hard work you put in, I imagine doing everything by yourself is a lot of work…. Just know the show does more than what you can see on the surface, you might not be able to see or hear the way your voice and content is effecting your listeners and for me it’s got such a positive and calming effect. I see all these rude people insulting you for being “monotone”…. I think that’s is just a reflection of their lack of imagination and poor ability to fill in the emphatic blanks. Sorry to keep you .
