This is the 2nd episode of our 2-part series on denominations. In this episode we look specifically at the Southern Baptist Convention. What is the SBC? Where did it come from? We are missional people. The SBC has parts of its past that we are not proud of, but we are proud of the heart for missions and the cooperation of some 50,000 churches, +3,000 International Mission Board missionaries.

This is the first episode of 2-part series. In this episode we look very briefly at the denomination. What are denominations and why do we have them? There are things that separate denominations from each other and that comes from our theological convictions along with our religious liberty (Dr. R. Albert Mohler).

In this episode we are looking at God's great love for rebellious sinners and God's saving love. As we think through and look at the Need, the Offer, and the Call. We look at the faith that Israel had to have as they looked, in faith, too God for healing and as we today look with faith in Christ for salvation.

In this episode we look at God's care for the church. We start off with looking at the church.  Who and what is the church? The beauty of the global church, as well as the local church. With the beauty of God's great design of the church, we then look at how God cares for the church with the giving of the office of elder. We take a look at the duties of elders as they humbly serve.

We take a brief look..lol...at evangelism in this podcast. Looking at ways we can encourage each other to share and overcome the barriers that hinder us from sharing the gospel. In this we look at the sermon on John 9, where Jesus heals the man born blind...and Jesus comes to him. The greatest need is spiritual sight. That the world would see God for who He is, and their desperate need for Jesus.

In this episode we look at the value of studying God's Word while acknowledging the struggles that we may face in trying too study. The elder team at Crosspoint share what they do to study God's Word while being real with the struggle that they share with just about every Christian. 

Join us as we look at the beauty and reliability of God's Word. While we know this, there are times it is questioned...what about John 5:4 or John 8:1-11, Mark 16...We hope you are encouraged by this and rest in knowing that the variants in Scripture do not compromise the truthfulness or the inerrancy of Scripture. It is the complete Word from God that He desired, delivered to the saints/Christians.

In this episode we explore deeper the 2nd sign in John 4:46-54. Here we see the official's son healed, which is miraculous in itself. The greater miracle that is here, is where we see the official cling to the Word of Jesus, not what Jesus can do. In that faith clinging to Christ the official believes, and also all his household. Explore with us why we cling to Christ.

In this episode, we are going to begin the discussion of miracles...what are they? do they still happen today? God performs His mighty acts so that people will know that He is Lord - we should expect that miracles draw our attention to those things that define His Lordship - His control, authority and presence.

As we look at the resurrection we see the hope we have to come and the hope we have now, because Jesus is our first-fruit. Jesus is the king who comes to fix everything and we see through Jesus the Great Reversal of death. With this reversal our unity with Christ is now, not later. This unity changes us and the way we see our community changes.
