We look at what it means to listen to the still small voice of the Lord and what conviction looks like. If we operate out of a posture of condemnation is brings about guilt and shame. It can keep us from experiencing the fullness and trust with the Lord to live an abundant life. Let’s look at the difference between the two and train our ears to and hearts to know what it means for His burden to be easy and his yolk light.  

We live in a world and society today that is looking in every direction expect towards Jesus. Christians included. We are looking for Jesus + something else when all we need is Jesus. This episode takes a deeper look at how the enemy is deceiving us into thinking that we are going to the Lord but in actuality we are looking to substitutions or additions. Let’s look and see what it means to look to the Father alone.

1 Kings 8:61, “Therefore, your hearts are to be wholly devoted to the Lord our God, to walk in His statutes and to keep His commandments, as [you are doing] today.” This episode takes a deeper dive in living a devoted life and having a devoted heart towards the Father. We look at coffee and the unique personification of how coffee in its purest form can parallel a life devoted to Christ. 

Keeping and maintaining friendships as we get older can seem easy for some and difficult for others. In this episode my best friend and I look at our friendship through the years and how we have navigated each season and what it looks like to have a friend that will continually push you closer to Jesus.

What does it mean to truly surrender your heart to the Lord? What about your dreams and desires? Dr. Dawn Marie Kier and I take a little bit deeper dive into what it means to surrender your heart to the Father and why sometimes it feels so hard.

Since the beginning of time there has been a divide between what God says and us questioning, "Did God really say?". I would suggest we Ask! We have gotten into debating with each other on who's right and who's wrong or we rely on each other's convictions about what we should do. Neither of those go to the Father and ask him. I challenge you today to turn your face the the Lord and ask! 

Sometimes you just have to take a minute and reflect. I will be turning 35 in just a few weeks, and I wanted to sit back and look at what I have learned in my 34 years of living. I have gone through quite a bit and sometimes am not sure how I made it here. I am glad that I did and did not do it alone! I hope this encourages you and maybe take a minute to reflect on your life and how much you have overcome.

Can you imagine what Job was feeling in the midst of his turmoil? What about the Israelites in year 26? When we look at the bible, we see the beginning of a thing and the outcome; what about in the middle? We don't often think about the in between of the suffering we just want it to be over. What if God wanted to show you his heart in the midst? What would it look like? I invite you to ask him. 

Being almost 35 the enemy can come at you from a lot of angles. Telling you you're not enough, you've missed it, you're too much, you're not doing enough, you're doing too much; all the things and the truth is they are ALL LIES! God never promised marriage, is it a desire yes, but is it my purpose no. Can I still be everything he’s called me to be? Absolutely. Being content can be hard at times but what it really tells me is that amid my waiting, what piece(s) of my heart does God want from me and what parts am I still not finding complete in him. Come with me on this journey of how I do my best to navigate this single season! 

In today's society as Christians we have the tendency to say things like "Oh it's not that deep!" I challenge that thought and say actually it is that deep! There are letters in the bible that tell us what tolerence does and I think that Lord has a lot to say, we just have to quiet ourselves enough to listen.
