Look who decided to show up. Swancasting! We are releasing this episode just in time for Gatsby's American Dream reunion show. Every DGD fan knows and loves Nic Newsham. Uneasy Hearts Weight the Most is still DGDs #2 song on Spotify as well as still is a touring staple. We start off talking some halo but quickly dive into how he TURNED DOWN the opportunity to be DGD's lead singer. We hit some major topics such as how Gatsby's album Volcano was a major influence to Brandon Urie and Panic at the Disco's forst album, and his bangers with one of our favorites Strawberry Girls. On the second half of the pod we focus on his career with Gatsby and The money Pit. If you haven't listened to The Money Pit you better and your welcome. A special thanks to Nic for his time and being patient with the slow release (Almost two years later) of this pod. He couldn't be a cooler dude. If you are anywhere near LA (or not I am flying there from NJ) you do not want to miss their reunion tour 4/28/23. Tickets can be found here

Hello Everyone,
Its been a while but do we have a band for you swan core fans. Meet Pulses! They bring the funk and they ooze with style so many styles. Not your typical post hardcore band they stand tall above the rest. So shake up your daily post hardcore playlist and add their discography. Shane got an opportunity to talk to the guys after sick show. Unfortunately he was drunk like shit. Some times when you do an interview you have to drag the answers out of a band this time Pulses kept the ship afloat. We will definitely be doing a full interview with them in the future before they are too big to talk to us!

Zac is back! Do you guys even read the description? Ill make one any way so I remember what happened. I think I may have blacked out from all the exclusive he gave us. Anyway I guess we didn't screw up too bad on our first interview because Zac Garren came back on and gave us some great nuggs. We talk about his song on the new DGD album, his new releases with (ex DGD , ex a lot like birds, and current royal coda front man) Kurt Travis, his new solo album and the new strawberry girls album. We talk about his other projects including Gordon Bombay a hidden Mod Sun album. Zac is the best ! We are so stoked ! Enjoy!

In this interview we talk to a man who has closed Moscow, worshiped the sun, and most importantly danced with Gavin. We speak with Legendary post hardcore producer and engineer Kris Crummett. We could hardly contain ourselves. He has had a hand in just about every band you know and love in the post hardcore music scene. From acts like Dance Gavin Dance, Tilian, Issues, Sleeping with Sirens, Emarosa, Crown The Empire, Hail the Sun, Royal Coda, Closure in Moscow, and so much more!
We talk in detail about what it was like working with Dance Gavin Dance back in 07’ all the way to present day, what went into creating the new hail the sun record, Kris’s specific methods in studio to bring a band’s unique sound to life, and so much more. They say he has the “Midas Touch” and based on his track record I think they may be right. If you like anything post hardcore you definitely don’t want to miss this.
* For everyone who isn't interested in the production side we start talking about the bands around 1hr 07mins

No scripts No notes No preparation! (Almost no Editing) Just firing from the hip giving you our raw hot takes on the Tree City Session 2 live stream. Some of our feelings have changed with time, but just let this reaction episode bring you back to that November night on the Tower Bridge in Sacramento. We discuss to what degree was the stream a live performance, ask if Jon Mess'ed up on NASA, fight about if any of the songs were stronger than the album version, and Rob learns the difference between funk and soul. Enjoy

In Episode 8 we interview Moon Tooth. If you haven't listened to them and you love hard catchy music, which we know you do you listen to DGD after all, this will be your new favorite band. Moon Tooth truly defies the concept of genre. You can hear influences from the Foo Fighters and Incubus to Mastodon. These guys are so talented and so creative we are so lucky to have a chat with them before they are selling out stadiums. In this episode we hit all the topics such as their approach to song writing, their new album, originality and their fearless approach to writing music about the issues that move them. I promise you will have as much fun listening to this as we did recording it.
