Sustaining Education: Read w/ Me!
Liz Stange
This podcast was began as part of the professional development project in my capstone course at Wartburg College. I have decided to combine this task with my job as a Sustainable Education Coordinator as part of the Sustainable Schools branch of Green Iowa AmeriCorps. Starting with "The Story of Stuff," I will work my way through 5 chapters and if all goes well, I'll continue to go through literature relevant to environmentalism and offer it us as virtual content for students during this, the COVID-19 pandemic.

Story of Stuff 1/6: Introduction
In this episode, I introduce myself, this podcast, and the purpose for reading. I also introduce the first book I'll be using: The Story of Stuff, by Annie Leonard. It is a great read, so informative, and useful for grades 7 and up in several content areas. I'm excited to begin this project, and hope that others are similarly intrigued by how we can simmer down on consumerism and start living for the world we live on. Welcome to Sustaining Education: A book talk, with some real talk. My name is Liz, and I'm here to take you through virtual content of how we can live better for the better of our lives.
