Get to the point
Waaaayyyy too much personal story and back story. We came here to listen to Skye’s story, so focus on that and leave out the fluff. Maybe people could help with the case if we didn’t get lost in the meandering unnecessary details.

Anime
I know NOTHING about anime, but I plugged the two cities (where she landed and where she was seen) into chat gpt and asked it if any anime feature those two cities. Please look into Silver Spoons.

Here’s from Sherrilyn Dale’s YouTube Channel :)
Just started the podcast today and I’m already 7 episodes in. You and your mom are absolutely adorable humans and will forever be on my mind and in my heart. My brother passed of an accidental overdose 12.24.14 and I relate so much to living in a consistent before Marshall/after Marshall headspace. So many layers to the trauma onion. Praying for answers for y’all and to finally bring Skye home ♥️

All the empathy in the world...
Like a few others have said in these reviews, I want to echo that it really is a struggle to get through these episodes. I know you're trying and you have no background in this stuff, but I don't think you need that. I think you just need to be a little more clear about what you want this podcast to be about. A lot of us came here to hear about Skye's story and the last accounts of contact wiy her leading up to her disappearance, and the case since then. But I'm on episode 3 and so far, I've just heard a lot of your own personal feelings and experiences. Being sick, having these symptoms, how you keep making it a point to talk about how the Japanese are so offended by everything (which I find a bit distasteful tbh). Sure, those little touches can add flare to a story but it just seems to drag on. You're recounting your perspective and I can appreciate that, but it is more emotional than it is factual. I don't want to rate this low, but I'm hoping you can take some of this criticism from your audience to better sculpt this podcast, because I think a lot of people are invested. I have all the empathy in the world for you and your family, but I wanted to weigh in and offer this in hopes you could use it to clean it up a bit.

Let’s find Skye!
Megan, I love you drive and your honest introspection. I truly hope more media picks up Skye’s story and that you’re able to go to Japan again as a family with a PI. There are answers out there, you just need enough resources!

Love this podcast
Love this podcast I could listen to you talk for hours! I’ve watched every single TikTok you’ve posted regarding your life and info about skye. I think people are a bit confused about what this podcast is about from reading other reviews which I’m surprised about. This is just someones sister that is telling a story of her missing sister and what she can remember.

It has potential
I follow her on tik tok and was immediately invested in this story. I love that she’s made a podcast and trying to get her sisters story out there but I don’t like the structure of the episodes. She’s telling the story through her perspective and what she can remember but then goes back over factual notes and realizes she’s wrong on a lot of things. There needs to be a timeline with actual facts. I will stick with this podcast because I am interested in the story but I hope it gets better. I know she’s trying, and this is really difficult for her. Try to plan out the episodes a little better.

I Don’t Ever Give Bad Reviews
…But I’m on episode 4 and heard her say something about really wanting to tell people about Skye and to get Skye's story “out there”. I still don’t know anything about Skye other than she took a one way flight to Japan. I appreciate that this is part of her healing process and respect that. I was led to believe this was a podcast meant to tell about Skye, whatever led up to her abrupt departure and hopefully help find her. So far, it’s more like her sister’s therapy sessions as she’s trying to wrap her head around her own feelings about her sister’s disappearance as well as everyone SHE had done for her parents and missing sister and the toll it’s taken on HER.

Really wanted to like it and finish it
I would have liked to know more about Skye instead of hearing about herself and her health issues. Hoping someone can help edit and turn into a new podcast so we can hear the entire story of Skye.

Trauma sees trauma
My family trauma is not the same but the way you discuss these dynamics is relatable and powerful. Thank you for sharing your journey.

A deep, personal family mystery told to you so eloquently by the sister who is living through it. Thank you for sharing your story! I hope this process is healing (in some way) for you and yours 💚💚

Unique and raw
A story of memory and loss, grief and love. It’s incredibly moving.

Not bad
From going to well produced true crime shows to this one I can see why people wouldn’t like it but she did her best to tell her sisters story . Don’t know why it still shocks me how people from a small town are kinda out of touch with rest of the world. Thanks for sharing your story

Needs to be organized and prepared
I really have empathy for the family, but the story telling is lacking. Very repetitive, narrator doesn’t have her story straight. Often repeats herself. She constantly says “I remember” and then “I don’t remember”. I think with a bit of preparation, Skye’s story could be told in a compelling manner

Why this format
The way this story is being told by the host just talking the entire time wasn’t the best way IMO. The little talk about her personally are irrelevant to the story. The way she can’t really remember or suddenly does and corrects herself is frustrating. Just doesn’t hold my attention.

I love how naturally the story is told, you can tell how trauma impacts memory in such a unique way. It’s so interesting to hear about the specific family dynamics and hurdles experienced trying to find her. Thank you for sharing your story!

Couldn’t listen
Between the vocal fry and nervous laugh, I couldn’t even finish the first episode. I really wanted to like it.

Riveting
I’ve followed Skye’s story since first hearing about it on TikTok when I found Megan’s videos. Megan is powerful, beautiful and incredibly relatable. She’s an amazing story teller and there is depth in her words. Anyone who listens should remember this isn’t just a story. This is Megan’s life and her family’s story…Skye’s story. I’m looking forward to see where Megan will take this podcast and what may come. Note to Megan: You are amazing and incredibly strong. Thank you for sharing. Your words have touched me. Please take care of you during this process. 🖤
