*sorry about the sound y'all * Happy Easter Monday! I'm trying to be more consistent with posting, but I promised a reflection of the week on being filled. First be filled. It's difficult to love people on empty. The reality is loved people love people, so how you operate in your everyday life determines your relationship not just with your significant other, but everyone from your coworker to the cashier at the grocery store. The world needs more love, so let's live in this truth today and the rest of the week.

So it's a switcheroo! The SP blog's standard weekly reflection makes a podcast debut. Kay couldn't put in writing the reflection in her heart. Listen to discover how a sermon quote became a revelation for our host on the difference of a renovation and a restoration. If you think we're talking about houses, not quite. Let's discuss. Sermon Mentioned: Blinded by Want - Pastor Sarah Jakes Roberts. Verse of the Week: Psalms 23:3. Don't forget to check out Surrender Perfect's blog and Instagram. When are we our best selves? Living in an era of Treat Yourself, Do You, Live Your Best Life, etc., it can be easy to confuse our identities, passions, and purpose for what and who surrounds us. But let's be real our best self is equally the morning we get out of sweatpants as it is being on a tropical island. It all comes from the root. When are we our best selves? When we are ourselves! In our most true, authentic and honest self. This doesn't mean you can be rude because serving others is equally important too. Listen for more. Verse of the Day: Psalm 139:14. In this episode, Kay gives some big (or little) sister advice about living in uncertainty. Specifically, feeling like you don't know the answer to the problem or path your going through. We are no strangers to the I Don't Know stages of life, but when we surrender, listen, trust, and move, we gain the strength, patience and wisdom to understand (or find contentment in not knowing it all). Verses mentioned: Matthew 4. Sermon Mentioned: Bandwagon Believer - Pastor Mike Todd. Make sure to check our Journal Entries section of the Surrender Perfect blog (surrenderperfect.wordpress.com). Post mentioned in today's episode - When God is Still.
