I absolutely love this podcast. I binged the first two seasons and am eagerly awaiting new episodes. Hugely interesting and informative. The two presenters are very engaging and work so well together. Genuine pleasure to listed to.

This podcast is in my top three! Maryn and Greg sound like they could be my friends, and approach everything with a contagious sense of wonder and fun. Science history plus approachable hosts! Very listenable format, while being engaging, enlightening, and totally shareable.

I learn so much from every episode! Maren and Greg explain complex scientific ideas in not only easy to understand, but riveting to follow stories. This podcast is what I will play to my children to introduce them to a career path in science, when they get a bit older.

I am by no means a science nerd but I always choose this podcast to listen to first!

Love the topics covered. It’s really easy to listen to and I learn so much in such an enjoyable fashion. The hosts are great and I love the format in which they reveal information. My only request is that you list the subject matter in the Apple podcast info so I can easily search/remember which episode is which. (IE Was recalling the episode about the man who invented the epi-pen/a better way to make whiskey but couldn’t remember his name or which podcast I’d heard him on.)

I am not a scientist. I like listening to this podcast to learn facts and stories I can share with my daughter to get her thinking about different lives, careers, inventions etc. particularly like the emphasis on forgotten women in science. Good job!

Man, the hosts are great, the content is great, but the random background music that just suddenly appears and doesn’t add anything to the show and is way too loud, is ruining it for me

It took me a while to get into this podcast because the two presenters are sometimes a little “too excited.” But As I listened more I realized their enthusiasm is real and comes from a true love of science. Keep up the good work.

Female host detracts from the interesting story with her added unnecessary comments and banter. Podcast would be great otherwise.

Please stop cutting out all the breaths! Makes the narrators sound so frantic.

Interesting, well-researched, nicely put together stories in development of scientific discoveries; BUT, host giggles, tithers, cackles, essentially endlessly distracts with her laughter throughout what would otherwise be a super podcast. Quit most of that and the podcast will deserve 5 stars.

Don’t listen to the haters I love this podcast it’s so interesting yet funny. Good job, keep going! The only problem I have is I listened to all of the season one episodes really fast and now I’m already done with it. I can’t wait for season two!

This is really well written and well edited. The dynamic between the hosts is great and I feel like I got to know them both over the first season. I learned a lot alongside them and I can’t wait for more!

I really enjoy the relationship between both speakers and the way they keep things upbeat and slightly comedic at times. Very fascinating stories to listen to. I can’t wait for the next season.

The enthusiasm of the hosts is infectious in this interesting podcast. You're never quiet sure what to expect and even if your familiar with the topic, their research will include something new. I like the focus on unsung inventors lost in the history books. The format has one host telling the story and the other, like us, not knowing what's coming. Geared towards adults but perfect for older kids with a curious mind. It's so engaging I bet theyll ask to listen to more. Perfect for COVID boredom syndrome.

Extremely pleasant to listen to hosts with great personalities. Interesting take and good execution/framing device on a type of podcast that can in other cases be a little tedious. I love the selected subject matter. It is nice to hear a science podcast from people who are truly passionate about the science, but also give great historical context for their discussions. Their passion and excitement about the topics are absolutely contagious. In a world that feels as though it is ripping apart at the seams, this podcast provides a pleasant and thoughtful escape into our past in a way that provides hope for a better future.

I can barely follow one person speak and then jumps in the other one with dramatics and interruptions! ARGH! so annoying! The podcast and the material itself is so good- I wish they’d let each other finish their sentences.

If you like SYSK, Short Wave, SideDoor, 99% Invisible, or other factual/educational/science shows, then this is an absolute must-listen for you. Greg and Marin are such relatable hosts and do a great job of communicating (what shouldn’t be) obscure science history in a way that is understandable, interesting, memorable, and funny. I will be devastated if this show doesn’t come back for a season 2!

Awesome show! A great way to look at history!

This is such a fun combination of things I'm interested in: Science and History. I love the format of one person telling the story and the other reacting to it. It inhances my dsicovery of the subject to hear someone else enthusiastically discovering it too. And the listener always has insightful questions and comments. Great job guys. I love it. Plus, I'm not gonna lie. hearing Greg's lovely accent is a big draw for me too. I laugh every time Maren makes fun of it, but I love hearing it.

I really wanted to love this podcast as I love science podcasts. But I must be in the wrong demographic (Baby Boomer) because I found the almost constant giggling and gasps and silly comments completely irritating and distracting. The stories are good but there are other science podcasts with engaging hosts so much better. I’m only giving it 3 stars for the content.

Only a few episodes deep and I already love this podcast! I’ve listened to so many thousands of podcast episodes over the past decade, I can get a bit picky and jaded trying to find new ones, but I just adore this one. It’s educational and fascinating but also lighthearted. Can’t wait for more episodes!
