Entertainment that cuts to the heart! (Pun intended)
Love the way Dr Mezrich navigates the the impact of surgery and medicine on the community at large with honesty and humor. Definitely worth tuning in!

I learn something from every episode
You don't have to be an aspiring academic surgeon like myself to enjoy this podcast. There are many "life lessons" woven throughout. In addition, I learn something from every episode whether it is the dangers of using race a biological variable (episode 6), the importance of taking risks (episode 8), or why we need to improve informed consent (episode 11).

Interesting
Not a doctor myself, but it's fascinating listening to two doctors discussing interesting topics at a high level. Surprisingly engaging and accessible.

Good show
I’m an internal medicine Med Onc doc and I still find this really interesting and often useful to my practice.

A short but pithy podcast
Admittedly, I host the podcast, so I might be biased, but I think it's pretty great. 15-20 minutes of hearing from some of the greats in the field, designed for anyone interested in surgery, from students to residents to PCPs to sub specialists to people who just want to know what happens in a hospital We hope you enjoy!
