🎇As a fellow mentee of Barbara’s I have tried to convey the power of these ideas to others who teach or interact with children, and now I’m so glad I can pass this podcast along. Well done and hooray. Spending my first adult years practicing these rules and customs set a powerful foundation for the life I stepped into after teaching first grade and I’m repeatedly and increasingly grateful. What a gift to the world is Barbara Rabin!!! I’m very very glad you’re providing such an accessible platform for all of us to learn (or revisit) these concrete, non-dogmatic ways to center ourselves in possibility and presence. Barbara uses words like glorious and magnificent with such sincerity that she invokes glory and magnificence amidst runny noses, knotted shoelaces, grubby fingers and the countless upsets and disappointments of the ongoing confusion and discovery that is life. Thank you Matthew for amplifying her voice especially at this time when our collective earthly organism needs her affirming, liberating approach so much! And I like the triumvirate of characters you use to describe the dynamic force that she is. 🎆
