He became a follower of Jesus, a servant and apostle of Jesus, faced persecution and death to eagerly and unashamedly spread this very gospel message of Jesus. It’s that Jesus is our loving God who died for our sins on the cross to save and transform our lives. Do you want to reset your life in 2023? Both skeptics and believers, do you want to reset your life in 2023? Do you want to reset your life, have a new life, have salvation and transformation in 2023? If that’s what you truly want, then rely on the power of Jesus to save your life, and rely on the transforming power of Jesus in your everyday life.

If you’re a skeptic will you receive his hand for salvation? If you’re a believer will you make him not just the center of your salvation, but also the center of your everyday life? Will you still make him the center of your life, even as you’re dealing with afflictions in life?

Luke 16:1-13Louis TamburroGenerosity entails using your wealth beyond yourself. The primary message of the bible is that Jesus is a generous giver of grace, a generous giver of salvation. He’s the eternal friend who not only gave up his wealth, he gave up his entire life to die for our sins on the cross. He did this so we could have eternal friendship in heaven with him. His death on the cross proves he valued friends over finances, people over personal profit, and his resurrection proves his empire won’t ever fail like every other empire in history. But the question is will you invest in building his eternal kingdom, or invest in building your temporary sandcastle kingdom?

Our generosity should flow from knowing our sinful souls were in a position of eternal poverty, but Jesus generously offers us salvation from his position of eternal power. Our hearts have way more reason to be filled with joy than Zacchaeus knowing Jesus didn’t just sacrifice his reputation for us, he sacrificed his entire life for us! 

Luke 9:57-10:2Louis TamburroGenerosity entails serving, instead of being the one served. The greatest example we have of this is Jesus and the generosity he displayed on the cross. In Matthew 20:28 Jesus said “I came not to be served, but to serve and give my life up as a ransom for many.” He came to serve us even to the point of dying for our sins on the cross. He gave his entire life up for you, are you willing to give your entire life up for him?
