After a long hiatus, Hugo opens up to his experiences of crippling anxiety in this very raw one-off episode. He explains what drove him to decide to stay in Turkey for a year and explains why events of 11 years ago still play a part in his life. Please note that this episode may be uncomfortable to listen to and also may be triggering for some. You are not alone in anxiety, and it’s ok not to be ok. Last week, we witnessed monumental history in regards to our country's future being made in just 24 hours. It was quite extraordinary...
On the 15th January, the Government was defeated by 230 MPs' votes - the biggest ever rejection of a flagship Government motion of Parliament. That same evening, Labour Leader Jeremy Corbyn threw down the gauntlet for a Vote of No Confidence in the Government. The No Confidence Motion was debated after PMQ's the next day, and the Government won it.
MP staffer Joshua Godfrey and regular pundit Dunc Cushenan give their reaction to the votes and what it means for Brexit, and the history books... Oh no - Will there now be another referendum!?

And here you have it - after a unwanted and unprompted hiatus (yes, we missed you too), SuggSound is back with vengeance and a roundup of politics in 2018 in the UK and beyond.
WHAT A YEAR IT HAS BEEN! Brexit of course tops the list but we also talk Trump, the Skripal poisionings, Cable's 'Erotic Spresm', US Midterms and the new BBC show Bodyguard!
Due to the sheer quantity of sound coming out of Dunc and Hugo's mouths (we blame politicians and the like!), we had to split the podcast over different parts but our techy somehow managed to forge all the different bits into one, bumper episode... So here it is! We apologise for the echo and the delay in bringing it to you, because this was meant to be out in December. But thank you for being so patient and enjoy the political roundup of 2018, in politics.

In this episode we speak to Natasha who hosts Backbench’s new podcast ‘Backchat’ and find out what inspires her... It turns out her History Degree isn’t going to take her far in journalism. Sound familiar!? *cough* Alex Robertson from a couple of weeks ago *cough*

The Leaders have spoken, the conferences have happened and the verdict is still not clear. Are we going to leave or stay in the EU?
With his politics once a secret because of his job, Joshua Godfrey now works for an MP in Worcestershire and talks about his latest column on Backbench UK, titled “Brexit: the show must go on”.
In a wide-ranging interview, we talk about democracy, leaving the EU and the People’s Vote campaign. Follow Josh on his Twitter https://twitter.com/JoshuaGodfrey, the article here: https://www.bbench.co.uk/single-post/2018/09/29/Brexit-the-show-must-go-on and CGP Grey’s video on the First Past the Post voting system here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s7tWHJfhiyo.
