This type of storytelling works for a journalist. I can tell what they are going for, but it just doesn’t land with a fictional story. Each time I am enjoying the story Fred Savage pops in with “it’s not just their story it’s OURS.” I got through 1 1/2 episodes and the quoted was said more than 5 times. Maybe it’s just not for me.

This is my first fictional podcast and I LOVE IT! What a captivating story. It is such a unique concept that is compelling me to WANT MORE! Tom Marshal and all the Osiris Team responsible for this should be very proud! Maybe the next fictional podcast will include a trip to Get More Down on Knuckle Bone Avenue as we follow the timeline into the future or music! Thank you Osiris for so much entertainment over the last few years. I honestly don’t listen to any other podcasts but yours!!! Blaze on!

This podcast is an incredible accomplishment. It traces the history of popular music, from honky-tonk to Motown to heavy metal, weaving a compelling storyline throughout. It features stunning original music that makes me truly appreciate genres I never really even listened to before. All of the performances are stellar, the storyline is incredible, and it’s completely professionally produced. Tom Marshall and all involved ought to be enormously proud of their work here. These are sooo good. Each one is like a little ear movie for your ears, they’re so rich and enticing. I’m not really much of a podcast person, but this one, and most of the Osiris projects are definitely worth the time.

The Sugar Maple series takes you through a wonderful fictional journey written masterfully and produced as good (or better) than any podcast I’ve ever come across. The original music is brilliant and could stand alone as a genre spanning album. The climax is worth the journey, the single best podcast series I have ever heard. Could not possibly rate this highly enough, it’s simply brilliant. Congratulations to everyone at Osirus who spent countless hours, weeks, and months to provide us with incredible content. Enjoy!

Sugar Maple was my first taste of a fiction podcast and it sure was sweet. Bad jokes aside I truly enjoyed this story, it’s levels, the stories within the story and how it culminated into a fantastic end that you’ll have to listen to believe.

Listening to Sugar Maple was an incredible experience from beginning to end — it has a great story, interesting characters and lots of excellent original music. It was the perfect addition to my usual podcast mix of music, food and politics. I hope there will be a season 2!

Sugar Maple is just a class production from start to finish. The story is captivating, at times even profound. Full of great surprises. It is excellently acted and written. But the music is the star. You’ll be coming back to these sings again and again. Completely enjoyable. Well done!

It starts off as documentry and then a mystery and ends up being some apocalyptic end of time craziness that says nothing to anybody. I don't understand the point. And clearly they really wanted to make a BIG point

This series is endearingly nostalgic in a 1920s Radio Serials kind of way. The story is engaging, with delightfully subtle Phish references, as well as a serious, dark undercurrent of Sugar Maple’s murderous origin. The original music has been top notch, especially the latest episode with Maggie Rose. Big thumbs up to production and all involved! I’m hooked and can’t wait to see how it ends!

I am a guitar player and was really excited to see a podcast about a guitar than just another guitar podcast. Great acting and wonderful music.

I might have enjoyed this podcast, but I’ll never know since I was unwilling to wade (and wait) through several minutes of commercials before the first episode even begins. You couldn’t even give the listener a little taste of the show before diving headlong into a series of inane ads?

Seeking a way to momentarily escape the daily drone of the news media? This refreshing marriage between a podcast and magical realism audiobook could not come at a better time! I am loving the meta podcast within a podcast format. Intriguing origin story, great character development and believable dialogue to boot! Can’t wait to hear whos dreams the telecaster will haunt next… it’s a little spookier than I was expecting but I think that’s a good thing!

In a time when it’s really hard to do anything truly original in podcasting, Osiris has offered us something unlike anything else out there. Excited to hear what happens in the story and to hear some brand new music!

As someone that is not an avid reader, I got into audiobooks during the pandemic. This is more than a fiction story! The way the writers wove music into the fabric of the story and the original music just deepens the story. One episode in and I’m already hooked.
