Each of these young women spoke about their beginnings, challenges and struggles and how they overcame them in business. Additionally, Dr. Jones shared about being recognized among other women with a statue erected in Dallas, Texas in her honor and also the first Black Ph.D in her program from her University. Ms. King, who also served as the mayor of her small town, spoke of her lived experiences as a trial attorney representing her clients in and outside of the courtroom.
