This is episode #002 of my new show Studio Hours, but it's the first long-form conversation episode I've done, and I was fortunate to have a really great person as guinea pig: My old friend Matt Slaughter. His background is in user experience design, and he currently works as the Principal Product Designer for a Colorado startup called Gloo, which is on a mission to modernize and simplify how churches all across America reach their communities. He's also one of the fittest guys I know, is raising a family, and works in his spare time as a pastor at Pinewood Church in Boulder.
PSPYou'll hear it in the conversation, but Matt is a fabulous storyteller, he's one of the sharpest thinkers I know, and he does better than nearly anybody else I know at putting other people first. We talk about how he views the devices we carry around everywhere, how he's teaching his kids to be good people, and how to keep your priorities straight when there's a lot going on. All in all, my conversation made me realize why we're friends in the first place, and that I really miss him.
Matt, you're the best - can't thank you enough for doing this.

Today is cool: finally did something I’ve wanted to try for two years: launch a little interview series where I talk to cool creative people. Today, I finally gave it my first shot with friend and collaborator, photographer and fashion model Raimee Miller. Who knows where this’ll lead, but I really enjoyed the first attempt, and I hope you enjoy! (Original Interview Date - 2.4.22)
This is the very first attempt I ever made, and it's littered with technical difficulties and poor audio quality, much less me stumbling regularly. But, I wanted record of the very first try, so I've always got something to look back on.
