Osborne’s wife, children, loved ones, and team members in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.” Osborne was part of the facility’s honor guard and had been named employee of the year just last week. A Florida deputy sheriff unloaded his pistol at his own patrol car after being startled by an acorn that dropped on the car roof. It gets better. The supervisory sergeant joined the deputy in shooting his cruiser. Oh, did we tell you there was a handcuffed suspect in the car? Certainly there are some lessons to be learned here.  Another Ohio Sheriff has come forward to address the information and intelligence that was shared with senior law enforcement officials.
