As a Financial Coach, I need to keep up-to-date on changes in topics that affect personal finances. Jay gives us current news from the world of student loan debt while educating us as well. Very valuable.

I have listened to every one of Jay’s shows (I think) and I can truly say that they added considerably to my knowledge about issues surrounding student loans. I appreciate how Jay talks slowly and distinctly enough for the listener to truly hear him. This is not always the case with other shows. In the first shows Jay felt the need to mildly advertise his own law firm, but has since stopped. This is good because it tarnished the public service aspect of the show. People can go to his show’s website to get further info which might include Jay’s day job. Going forward I hope to hear more in depth about how PAYE and (soon) the new REPAYE work. I know they can help students who got into a lot of debt compared with the type of low-paying jobs they may always have (sadly). Good job Jay!

Seriously, I listen to a lot of legal shadows and most are boring or just long infomercials. Jay is not only entertaining and in formative, but he gives out real resources on his show. Yes I'm biased. I met Jay a couple weeks ago and he was just as friendly in person as he is on his podcast. I thought loans are simple, but I am amazed at how complex an issue student debt is for both STUDENTS and the PARENTS that cosign for those loans! If you are carrying student debt or are close to someone who is, you should really listen to this show.
