This pod was more of a roller coaster than my last therapy session, which, I can tell you, was a doozy.
Great premise, good promise, want to find out more. But I guess I’M stuck listening.

I cheated my way through English class
All the “hey there, dontcha know, ope, uffda, ah jeez” lingo in this here second episode really reminded me of my childhood in Lanesboro, Minnesota. I lived there with my Ma, my Pa, my two sisters, our baby brother and of course our schnauzer Greta. Especially reminds me of the winter of 1983, now they call it “The Good Winter” but I’m not sure why, nothing good about it. The temp would reach record lows daily. Sometimes instead of snow it would start to rain but ice particulates would build in the rain drop and leave lacerations in our snow white paper thin skin, it was kind of like hail but a whole lot meaner. It started to snow real hard one day, a blizzard you’d say. Before we even woke up the door was covered in snow and we couldn’t make it budge. The phones didn’t work neither. We thought we were okay because we recently stocked up on pop and Ma made a killer hot-dish the night before. With all us kids here and dad knee deep into a sixer of brewskis before noon we ate that hot-dish in no time. Greta begged for the scraps and we obliged, it wasn’t until that evening that we realized how foolish that was. Those precious scraps. 9pm rolled around, we had finished off the pop and there was nothing left in the fridge. We were ravenous. We looked at each other. We looked at Greta. We looked at each other again. We decided we needed to eat and we had to do the unthinkable. Pa built a fire for the roast, since I was the oldest child he told me I had to do the terrible task, it was my right. I walked into the den right next to Greta. I patted her on the head and kept walking past her into my baby brothers room. I picked him up out of his crib and walked back towards the fire. On my way I passed by my siblings, all holding silverware in their hands and drool pouring from their wide open mouths. I remember the heat from the fire as I stood there with my youngest kin. I remember thinking “fratricide is something new and foreign to me but I must do what needs to be done.” As I felt my fingers loosen I suddenly saw the bright light of the Sun beam through the peephole on our front
door. We knew that meant the snow had melted away. We were free once again. To this day I’m still not sure how we made it until sunrise, I’m not sure how we survived, it was some sort of miracle.
Good show. Check it out.

Really interesting premise
I find the premise of the show to be really interesting and I cannot wait to see how the rest of the show unfolds. It’s like an anthology film with a cool wrap story. Keep up the great work.

If Documentary Now was a podcast!
1st episode: Spencer is an idiot and it’s hilarious!
Can’t wait for more!

What will this become?
Only one episode in and I’ll definitely be listening again in the future. The first episode was funny. I don’t normally get distracted by podcasts but I did with this one. Good job to the makers!
I think it’s pretty obvious that no episode is going to be the same and I really like that idea. It’s like the old radio shows they used to play in the 40s. Hearing this grow into a good satirical strange behind the scenes interview show that isn’t supposed to be heard by people will be fun. I’ll be stuck listening!

A few note on episdoe 1:
-honstly the character being interviewed doesnt come acros that intersting. ..a lot of what makes his appear interesting is name dropiing famous killers he has met. srry its not that inpressive to talk to a famous person over the phone or work for another.make the character more interseting and listeners will be more engaged.
-the person interviewed sounds like hes from an era of the past.but the host sounds like he is from modern day. it would be cool to hear an effect on the talking to make it sound like its more dated
-interviewer sounds nervous and is whispering or what? doesnt match energy of person being interviewed
-reference to pop punk kids at the end does not make sense for what tiem period this is
-the guy in the studio at the end is obviously the same voice as the person being interviewed.I recommed switching up the voices to portry differnt character. i been to som really great panels at comic caons about voice acting and they say to take acting lessons. I think it would help you in cases like thi
-name of podcast is not good. stuck listening makes it sound like you are listening even though you don want to.
