In this episode of Stroke and TBI Allies, I am excited to introduce you all to a very special person that I hold close to my heart, and who gives me strength in my own recovery, Dr. Daniel Steinke. Listen to Dr. Steinke and I discuss the importance of taking great care of your teeth during recovery. Most survivors, who are on the path to recovery whether it being Stroke or a TBI, are often required to take prescription pain medications in order to help manage the massive amount of chronic pain we deal with on the daily. While, taking these medication might help reduce pain levels enough to where we can tolerate our day, they also can create havoc for our teeth due to what we know is called " dry mouth ". In this podcast you can receive some valuable tips and information that can help you if you happen to be suffering from dry mouth yourself along with some other informative tips that you can implement at home to help with your nutrition.
