Strength to Strength
Strength to Strength offers resources that will strengthen your obedient love-faith relationship with King Jesus and give you solid footing in a shaky world.VISION: Inspire flourishing communities of faithful Jesus-followers around the world.MISSION: Advance Jesus’ kingdom by assisting the church in earnestly contending for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints, through tackling thought-provoking topics, by stimulating candid discussions, and by sharing faith-building testimonies.ACTION: We do this by providing multimedia resources including podcasts, videos, and books, and by pointing people to local communities of believers. Our speakers and writers are supportive of a Christ-centered, kingdom-focused, Scripture-based way of life, specifically as modeled by the Anabaptist tradition. However, we will sell books not written by kingdom Christians when they are able to share a unique or challenging perspective. In engaging with any of our resources we encourage you to be a Berean.

"Does Progressive Dispensationalism Fit in Christ's Kingdom?" —an S2S rebuttal
Strength to Strength responds to a recent episode by Anabaptist Perspectives. In this response video, Greg Weaver is joined by Justin Zehr and Bryant Martin to offer a rebuttal to the presentation offered by Julian Stoltzfus. In this episode, we respond to a presentation on Progressive Dispensationalism. Is Progressive Dispensationalism compatible with the Christo-centric hermeneutic or Anabaptism? Does Romans 11 actually teach a distinction between the church and Israel? What should be our prioritization in Bible interpretation? These are a few of the questions we explored. The Bible tells a single unified story. His body is both singular and undivided. The mystery revealed from ages past is that all nationalities would be fellow heirs in the same body. When Jesus broke into the pages of human history he revealed the prophetic mysteries Israel has been pondering for centuries. Join us as we discuss these realities and their implications.https://strengthtostrength.org/does-progressive-dispensationalism-fit-in-christs-kingdom/

“Finding God’s Purpose for Our Pain” by Grant Bontrager
May 9, 2026Strength to Strength welcomed Grant Bontrager to discuss lessons learned through his life story.Grant Bontrager was born as the result of a sexual assault. Although he was raised in a loving, Christian home, he still struggled intensely with identity, questions about his past, and the belief that God had a plan for his strange, confusing life.It wasn’t until he went to a counselor, took a deep look at his heart, identified the pain caused by those questions, and brought that pain to Jesus, that he was able to find his identity, and the answers to the many “Why?” questions.Grant has found his calling in life to go share his story in prisons and churches, and to walk with others who are struggling with painful things in their lives. An interactive question-and-answer period follows.https://strengthtostrength.org/finding-gods-purpose-for-our-pain/

"God Is a Wonderful Father" by Rhoda Wenger
May 2, 2026Strength to Strength Sisters welcomed Rhoda Wenger to share her testimony.Traveling through life with my sweetheart of 53½ years has been an adventure I would not trade. God blessed us with 9 precious children, 5 additional precious children through marriage, and 14 treasured grandchildren. While our children were still at home, we had the privilege of all traveling together in an itinerant ministry. As our children reached adulthood, they pursued the ministries God called them to. Eventually Ray and I traveled alone. After 33 years of traveling, COVID restrictions in 2020 and now our health issues have ended our travels. Most importantly, traveling the journey of life with the Good Shepherd as my guide, has made this path a joy-filled one, despite the humps and bumps on the path. Living life with God is a marvelous privilege because He is always beside me, guiding, giving wisdom and grace for each situation, and patiently teaching me important life lessons. I look forward to kneeling before Him in person someday to thank Him for pursuing me with goodness and mercy. An interactive question-and-answer period follows.https://strengthtostrength.org/god-is-a-wonderful-father/

"Romans Made Simple" by David Bercot
April 25, 2026Strength to Strength welcomed David Bercot to explore Paul’s most theologically foundational—but often divisive—book, Romans.Romans can be a difficult book to navigate. As a result, people have used Romans to teach wrong doctrines like salvation by faith alone. However, Bercot explains that if we keep in mind just three simple principles, Romans becomes a book that any Christian can easily and properly understand. An interactive question-and-answer period follows.https://strengthtostrength.org/romans-made-simple/

S2S Sisters: "The Power of Intercessory Prayer" by Marietta Yoder
April 4, 2026Strength to Strength Sisters welcomed Marietta Yoder to discuss the power of intercessory prayer."The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much." —James 5:16Without prayer, ministry becomes a human effort that is like the vapor, shadow, grass. It will not last–only burn up. It becomes a burden-an idol.Prayer causes the work you are engaged in to be eternal. Prayer opens people’s heart to the Redeemer. Prayer connects us to God so that His will is lived out on earth. Prayer preserves a people from destruction. It connects your spirit to the Fountain of great fruitfulness.I will try to answer the following questions:- How do I keep from getting bored while praying?- If God wants to do something anyway, than why do I have to pray it?- Why don’t we see answers to prayer? - What examples are there of praying believers who overcame problems? https://strengthtostrength.org/the-power-of-intercessory-prayer/

"The Kingdom in Context of the Whole Scripture" by Paul Lamicela
April 11, 2026Strength to Strength welcomed Paul Lamicela to explore the place that the kingdom of God has within the Scripture.Sometimes we use “kingdom” as a buzzword, perhaps paired with a few prooftexts from the Gospels. But what did Jesus really mean when he proclaimed that the “kingdom of God” was at hand? Hint: we have to dig into the Old Testament to get the full picture. And doing so will bring a richer, deeper, more compelling dimension to our own lives in Jesus’ kingdom. An interactive question-and-answer period follows.Downloadable handout available on our website.https://strengthtostrength.org/the-kingdom-in-context-of-the-whole-scripture/
