I love the hosts, Meg and Eli are so funny and I love the energy that they bring to the show. They are so open and they pay attention to real conversations and they respect each other while also making me laugh out loud. This podcast makes me feel way more connected to the Utah culture that I am surrounded in. Also one time I took a knitting class taught by Eli at a new knitting store down the street from me, and now my mom is addicted to knitting and our house is made of yarn.

I have listened to this podcast for a few years and it’s always good to turn it on and pretend I am actually friends with Eli and Meg haha I forget that they don’t know me😂 You guys are hilarious, intelligent, and I love hearing about your lives. I also love the idea of telling stories it’s entertaining. I have died laughing and even cried at some of these stories! Thanks for the awesome podcast!

I have been listening to this podcast and reading Eli’s blog for years. Other than the great content and banter, Meg and Eli just seem like genuinely good people and I feel like I’ve known them for years. Only constructive feedback I have is that we are all still waiting on Skylar’s cameo!

I’ve listened all the way into the start of COVID. I’ve never spent over 50 hours on something better. I’m aiming for 10,000 hours because someone somewhere said that’s the amount of time it takes to master something. KEPP MAKING THIS ELI AND MEG!!! Love y’all!!!

When I came across Strangerville I thought it was humorous. Flash forward about two weeks and I’ve done a solid binge. It’s now to the point that if I heard the voices of Eli or Meg in the Utah wild, I’m pretty sure I would fangirl real hard. 10/10!

This is my favorite podcast, and not just because I’m dating 50% of the hosts. The banter between Meg and Eli is my favorite part. Update: now I’m married to 50% of the hosts. I’ll let you decide if that’s the same 50% I was dating. Anyway, this podcast is far from embarrassing.

I listened to one episode of Strangerville and I was absolutely hooked! I binged all the previous episodes and I anxiously await new episodes each week. In addition to intriguing and entertaining stories from guests, I could listen to Meg and Eli chat all day—I feel like we’re all friends, even though they have no idea I exist. 10/10, do recommend.

This podcast is a lovely escape from everything awful on the internet. You’ll be hard pressed to find a better example decency and human kindness anywhere. The stories have made me laugh, cry and generally appreciate the things I my life. Eli, Meg and all the storytellers make me feel good about sharing the planet with other people. It’s fast becoming one of my favorite podcasts.

Strangerville was the first podcast I ever really got into. I’ve tried to find other podcasts as good as this one for the past couple of years and I’m beginning to think it’s not possible. It is such a treat for me when new episodes come out. Eli and Meg always brighten up my day. If they ever stopped doing strangerville I would be so sad!

Who knew that this pod would become one of my favorites, but it’s funny, charming, and optimistic (something rare in the podcast world) in addition to being entertaining and enjoyable. Meg and Eli seem like people you’d want to meet and have lunch with. And they’re thoughtful and insightful about Mormonism and Utah culture for those of us not steeped in it. Meg and Eli keep me company while I’m working, and make the days go by faster. I only started listening recently; I’m pretty upset with everyone for not telling me to listen sooner, but now I have lots of old episodes to binge so it works out. Their voices and easy rapport are so comfortable, and make me feel like I’m sitting with old friends. It’s exactly the kind of thing I need in these unprecedented times.

Been a listener for several months now and I find the Strangerville podcast to be a great pick-me-up for moments when my mood is low. Eli and Meg have a lovely low-key vibe of a casual chat between friends, while also maintaining enough structure to feel consistent and non-chaotic. I love hearing the listener stories they share from around the country. I find content like this, that just focusing on human experiences, to be kinda healing, in an often divisive world. I listen to a lot of podcasts and most of them are kinda dense and full of educational content, and sometimes I am just not in the mood for those. This cast is my chill go-to, now. So thank you, Eli and Meg, for your hard work that I get to enjoy!

I'm a housewife, and a terrible one at that. Cleaning just isn't my thing. I hate folding laundry. I hate doing the dishes. Bathrooms? Don't even talk to me about it..... BUT since discovering Strangerville my house gets a good solid cleaning every time there's a new episode! Really, though. I love this podcast so much. Meg and Eli have great chemistry and, being from Utah, I can appreciate all of their references and experiences that they talk about! Keep it up you guys! I’ve been listening since day one....or like day 20 but I went back and listened back through to day one and have been listening ever since (since 2015 or 2016 probably). Eli and Meg are a hoot. Most stories are fascinating and funny, some are sad, almost always entertaining (pobody’s nerfect haha). Highly recommend you give a few episodes a try an see if it’s your cup of tea!

This podcast is a true gem and I have loved going through the back episodes to hear the stories and the banter. Unlike any other, this podcast is just like listening to great friends spending time together.

I’ve been reading Eli’s blog for years so when he started a podcast, I was very excited to finally hear some of these stories out loud. He & Meg feel like my long-distance friends and the weekly episodes are relatable & make me laugh. Strangerville is LITERALLY the best podcast on the market! Meg and Eli’s co-host chemistry is just delightful and they make you feel like you’ve been close friends forever. Theyve gotten me through good and bad times. I hope they never die. Cause if they do, I just might.

It seems like most podcasts get all five-star ratings, but unlike many of its contemporaries, Strangerville actually deserves the accolades. The storytellers are fantastic—funny, thoughtful, and moving in turns; and the podcast hosts’ blathering is completely charming. Five stars. FOR REAL.
