Hello and welcome to Episode 2 of the Stranger Conversations Podcast. This is the first official episode of the show and today we have our first official guest. Her name is Katelyn Toole, a veterinary nurse who has spent most of her adult life helping animals, working closely with tigers, lions and giraffes. She’s also a motorcycle enthusiast, a mother, and much more. She even knew the Tiger King!
It was great to get to know Katelyn a bit while we took a walk through her life and adventures. I think you’ll find her passion and knowledge of animals as fascinating as I did, and I think you’ll learn a little bit about life and parenting as well.

Hello and welcome to episode zero of the Stranger Conversations Podcast, where, as the intro says, we explore the lives and lessons of those around us, hidden in plain sight.
So, what does that mean?
Well, I listen to a lot of podcasts; I absolutely love podcasts! But one thing I’ve noticed is you mostly hear from guests who have made a “name” for themselves or who have made a living out of making a name for themselves. Although these people have a lot to offer and you learn a lot from them (I know I have), I know there are millions of people out there we’ve never heard of. People who are working behind the scenes, running businesses, making a difference in the world, and leading others in an impactful way. I want to hear from those people.
My name is Tay Jones. I’m a public servant, a husband, a father, a business owner, a motorcycle enthusiast, and more. I’ve lived a lot of places and have had a lot of experiences… but this podcast isn’t about me. It’s about the strangers I’ll meet on this journey and will have the privilege of introducing to you.
Basically, I communicate for a living. I have a strong desire to hear peoples’ stories and I’ve got a knack for communicating and bringing out information about people and their lives. I started this podcast to bring the lives and lessons of strangers – the “not-so-average” among us - the attention they deserve. I want them to tell their stories, their victories, their struggles, and if we’re lucky, their deep, dark confessions.
We’re going to get to know strangers on this show. I can’t guarantee where the conversations will lead… I can’t guarantee you’ll learn something… but I CAN guarantee you’ll be entertained. And I’m willing to bet some of these conversations are going to get “strange.”
Our website and blog will expand on the ideas, knowledge and expertise gleaned through these conversations. You can find all this and more at https://StrangerConversationsPodcast.com. You can also watch the show on YouTube, and as always, follow us on your favorite social media.
So… In closing, I’d like to put out a casting call of sorts. We’re looking for a few good strangers. If you’re up for the opportunity, let’s set up a time to connect and hit record on your life. At our website, you’ll find multiple links to our calendar. Find a time that works for you and book your conversation today. And guys: you can stay as anonymous as you like, or you can stand loud and proud as you and tell your story or promote something you’ve got going on in your life.
I want to be clear: when we talk, this is your show. There’s only one requirement and it’s pretty simple: I can’t know you. That’s it!
If you’re up for the opportunity, great! If you’re not up for it yourself, but know someone with a story to tell, tell them about the show! Let’s learn from those around us and make sure their lessons don’t stay hidden.
Don’t forget to subscribe to this podcast so you don’t miss out on the conversation. And don’t forget to subscribe to our YouTube channel and to follow and like us on social media! Share us out to help grow our show.
Thanks for listening and stay tuned.
