This time of year, many of us find ourselves at parties with coworkers having conversations we wouldn’t normally have, and here aboard our starship, it’s no different. Occasionally you find yourself in a conversation that you were not prepared for, like when your new Transporter Chief officer says something like “I never understood the appeal of Star Trek”. Once we were all done hitting him with our Lirpas, we realized this could actually be used as a teaching moment.
