I’m late to the party on Mike Flanagan and so grateful to have this collection of podcasts about the older shows as well as the captivating House of Usher series. Rima and Pake have great conversational chemistry and manage to cover some really dark subjects in a way that helps me process it. The podcasts are sometimes 2+hours, but never seem too long.

excellent analysis and detailed breakdowns. I come here for the info dump and like the “top 3 or 5” feature. I’m jonesin some more House of Usher coverage though, so I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t disappointed to see the Baking Show eps keep popping up :) Bad enough I had to fall asleep to it the last two nights cuz wife is hooked (I wanted to watch Joe Bobs Demonia Drive-In and Witchboard, respectively!)

Seriously, have you listened back to any episodes after recording? You advertise as part of a podcast network and run plenty of ads - there should be some attempt at professional improvement after a long time of the same repeated problems. Pick any 2 minute clip of the episode and count how many times Rima says “You know…” - you won’t be able to hear anything else.

I came for Stranger Things and was pleasantly surprised by the other shows that were covered here! Rema you are awesome!

This is one of the best TV show review podcasts I’ve ever come across! I am so excited to dive into more of these shows, especially can’t wait to do a Stranger Things rewatch while listening along with Jason and Rima! I found them because I started watching Locke and Key I highly recommend this podcast to any diehard fans of the shows they cover! They are so thorough and witty and great fun to listen to! Stranger Things is such a great show that I try not to consume all the episodes all at once. I so appreciate how this podcast digests each episode week by week where the hosts do not watch any episodes they had not yet covered beforehand. To me, part of the fun of watching an excellent TV show is only getting episodes one week at a time and then theorizing what will happen next. This show provides that experience for me, with excellent hosts that thoroughly analyze each episode. Thank you for all the work you put into preparing each episode!

Please stop saying “I mean…” to start all your sentences. So annoying.

This is my favorite and only Stranger Things recap podcast I enjoy and look forward to listening to after I watch. The hosts give concise and thoughtful insight without being boring. They give interesting takes and predictions are not too wild or stretches. Only wish they would release them more quickly.

Sadly I just found this 226 episodes in because I really enjoyed the Ozark 4/9 episode and I look forward to the rest of the season. The ladies were insightful, likable, and entertaining. I just wish these episodes came out as fast as Netflix puts out their episodes. Can’t wait for Stranger Things!

I love the show and the podcast is so detailed it is amazing.

I love the sensitivity of this show - you can feel how much love the hosts have for the characters and they take such care discussing the shows they review. I want so badly to hear what they would say about Yellowjackets!!

I didn’t even want this show. I wanted more “unexplained” stuff or unsolved mysteries that are event related instead of murder murder murder. But I love be these two adorkables. OMG. I’m a TV writer and I’d forgotten the joy a TV show or movie can bring to your life. Listening to these two incredibly sweet, insightful, kind, accepting people talk with great emotion about the shows is really moving. As an added bonus, they know what they’re talking about. They dissect and celebrate all the minutiae that’s invisible. The things that make a scene brilliant. So, I now listen and learn.

Rima talks a lot and doesn’t really let her other host speak. It should be 50/50. And also I feel like she’s always trying to prove her point but it’s alright to just have an opinion. It’s your opinion, you don’t have to convince us of anything. The only reason that bothers me is because she rehashes the same point rewording it several times. It can be said once and you can move on. If the podcast addressed those few things, it would be much more enjoyable.

Very insightful content for the Haunting of Hill House and Bly Manor. The British Bake-off coverage is just gravy.

I love this podcast I love how detailed they get. And how into the shows they are. My only issue is how Rema is constantly talking about how “she is a nerd” “she’s not a girly girl” “she likes mud and being weird and quirky” It’s just about every episode. Nothing wrong with being that way but we don’t have to hear it all the time.

It’s been like 6 weeks since season 3 aired and they’re still not done. No one is talking about this show anymore. Nearly everyone has seen it except these 2. They need to find some way to cover it faster. This way doesn’t work well. I would give it 1 star but they’re mostly likable so I don’t want to be too mean.

Rima Jo and Shawn are wonderful to listen to and have excellent chemistry together. They play off of each other perfectly. In my opinion, what separates the good podcasts from the great ones are usually the chemistry between the hosts, and these two definitely have it. Well discussed reviews and enjoyable side conversations in between. I’ve seen a couple of reviewers criticizing Rima for letting her personal views and “politics” get in the way of the discussing the show, but I couldn’t disagree more. I prefer when hosts let their personalities shine through on the cast, because without that, mostly every podcast reviewing a given show would be largely the same. I find these these two to be very likable and whatever real word views they have or demonstrate do not get in the way of reviewing the shows at all. Keep it up, Rima and Shawn, and thank you for all the great casts.

The discussions about the show would be great if they remained about the show. Rima to concern with working her political ideals and SJW views into a show about fantasy and monsters.. none of it is real Rima, relax.

I binged all the seasons of Stranger Things when they came out. I grew up in the 80s so watching ST was a wonderful throwback with the added benefit of being a straight up amazing show. Listening to Rima and Shawn is a great way to bring back that experience and dive deeper into the background of the show. They bring up details I totally missed (so I have gone back to watch seasons 1 and 2) - usually “omg why did I not see that” connections, and they are well researched. They have a great chemistry and the sound quality is terrific. This is the perfect podcast to revisit the first seasons and then follow along with current season. Warning: they don’t binge-watch the show so their recaps are weekly...if you expect their recaps to keep up with your single night, full-season Netflix binge and are disappointed they aren’t catching up to you, well, that’s on you LOL!! And it’s a total injustice to this podcast which is so good. If you are a fan of Stranger Things and need more than just watching the show, this podcast is a must-listen.

I really enjoy this podcast! I love that even when Stranger Things isn’t on they are still podcasting on other great shows. Rema and Shaun always have great feedback and info but they are also very funny and relatable. This podcast is a must listen!!

Amazing podcast the best one I have ever listened to

I’ve been following Strange Indeed from it’s inception through The Haunting of Hill House and it’s been an absolutely joy and it’s something I look forward to every week. I’ve finished Hill House a few days ago but I’m going to start a rewatch so I can follow along with the podcast. Again, I can’t promise you another feedback but know that I’m always listening and very much enjoy your content. I appreciate the time you take out of your day to make my long commutes in LA traffic a joy.

I’m sorry, but her voice is annoying and she has a tendency to make smacking noises right into the microphone. I can’t deal with it.

I loved their reviews of Stranger Things and I love their reviews of Castle Rock. I listen for the in depth reviews and clues and these two definitely think of it all.

Rima and Shawn Started and will continue with Stranger Things...But what they have done with other shows like Altered Carbon and Lost in Space has me wanting to listen more....Gotta love Rima! She has such a deep view of the show and lovely insight! I love to hear Rima's Voice! Shawn is awesome and I love his humoristic look at the shows. I love the quick jokes and the deep insight. I'm always entertained by these two!

This is a great pod to listen to while Rima and Shawn discuss their favorite parts about popular shows on TV/Netflix. It helps work or car rides go by faster because it feels like having a conversation with friends.

If you have not watched stranger things than your missing out in a lot.Stranger thing is about a mystery girl who is lost and is found by 4 boys the boys don’t know what to do with her.There bad guys trying to hunt the girl.

Great podcast and I really like the 2 hosts but wow! I have to practically turn my volume to max to hear the female, and then the male speaks and it practically blows out my eardrums. Not sure if it’s a mike issue? Or maybe the female is just a very low talker. Might have to unsubscribe if it doesn’t get worked out. If I have my volume at normal to hear the male speak, I literally can’t hear the female when she speaks at all :(

Great Podcast! I was late to the show and the podcast so although there might be controversy I am enjoying the slower episode by episode show. I have to wait to watch it with my wife and 9yr old son who also loves the soundtrack. Per last episode tired of Snickers, Butterfinger all the way! This is great episode by episode disgestif podcast who live the show.

This podcast is the best Stranger Things podcast out there by far. Hosts Rima and Shawn discuss the Netflix show in depth, Rima having watched the entire series and Shawn watching on a week by week basis. I love Chief Hopper (and David Harbour) as much as Rima does so I love to listen to her fangirl too (I'm fangirling with you, Rima!). Both hosts are from a small town so I like hearing their perspective. Great show, great hosts, fabulous podcast. Thanks!!
