On December 16, 1935, 29 year-old actress Thelma Todd was found dead in the driver’s seat of her Lincoln. Her car was discovered in a garage owned by Jewel Carmen. Who happened to be the estranged wife of Thelma’s current boyfriend/business partner, director Roland West. Thelma rose to fame in comedies starring the Marx Brothers, Buster Keaton, and even Laurel & Hardy. She was in the prime of her career.  The coroner ruled she suffered from carbon monoxide poisoning. In October 1925, a young girl's body was discovered at the bottom of a mineshaft near Coxton, Kentucky. Even though the remains were practically unrecognizable, the authorities identified her as 14-year-old Mary Vickery, who had gone missing two months earlier. In March of 1926, Condy Dabney, a married father of two and former miner, was accused of her murder and quickly  indicted. Seems like an open and shut case right? Except, Mary Vickery was in fact, very much alive. During an annual show in a Nottinghamshire mining community in July 1980, hundreds of children began experiencing dizziness before they started collapsing. The official report attributing the cause to "mass hysteria". One officer described the situation as resembling a battlefield, littered with bodies. On July 7, 1954, 12-year-old Daniel Wood Jr. left his home with a fishing pole in hand after telling his mother he was off to the Androscoggin River with a group of friends.  Unfortunately, Daniel never made it back home. In Springfield, New Jersey, 1972, a dog returned from a wooded area carrying an object in its mouth. It seemed to be a "large bone" and they let out a scream when they realized it was a human arm! The rest of the body, was found fully clothed in a small clearing atop a steep hill,  lying face down, with an odd, almost ceremonial rock formation found around it. The deceased was 16-year-old Jeannette DePalma. She had been reported missing by her mother six weeks earlier. On January 6, 1979, at 6:35 a.m., Mr. Tan Kuen Chai  and his wife, Lee Mei Ying, operators of a mini school bus business, left their one-room flat located on the fifth floor. Their four children were left sleeping in their beds. Somehow without any witnesses, and without leaving a trace, someone brutally murdered the children. On November 21, 1987, Korrina Malinoski, disappeared from the Mount Holly Plantation in Berkeley County, South Carolina. Less than a year later, Malinoski's 11-year-old daughter, Annette Sagers, ALSO went missing from a bus stop, just outside the plantation.
