Galatians 4 uses the analogy of adoption to show that we have a promise of inheritance. Moreover, Scripture teaches us that once we have joined the family, we can NEVER be disowned. Once we are sons and daughters, our inheritance is sure. This security of salvation and inheritance is called perseverance of faith or perseverance of the saints.
