These books and interviews are making sometimes terrifying concepts (climate change, extinction, inequality, inaction) feel more approachable to an ordinary listener and provide little rays of hope and action for these diverse topics.

I usually listen to true crime podcasts all day every day and this was a really thoughtful, thought-provoking change of pace! I learned a lot and didn’t leave feeling discouraged or guilty, which I sometimes worry about when discussing the environment, nature, or the non-human world. Can’t wait for more episodes!
