Aldfrith is a Northumbrian King rarely mentioned, rarely written about and often confused with others.  Despite this I have researched his life and I firmly believe he is far more important and influential than the records show. After a period of military powerhouses like Edwin, Oswald and Oswiu dominating the Anglo_Saxon Heptarchy, the scene was set for a Northumbrian Golden Age in religion and learning. Cometh the hour, cometh the man. So how does an unknown like Aldfrith fit in to it all? Within a month or two (hopefully sooner) of this release I will have taken my camera out to the locations mentioned in the story and will upload the video to my you tube channel. Join me for historical tales from the iron age through to the emergence of gunpowder (I lose interest then). 

I research my stories based around a peculiar event or a character that amuses me. What develops from there can often lead to some surprising tales and some interesting perspectives to well known events.
