This past week I had to tackle something totally foreign to me and I ran into many many MANY frustrations.  It was a rude reminder to me that I have to remember not to talk to my students in the same way I would talk to someone who is an expert already.  I need to use language and patience the matches where they are at in their learning journey.   It is after all not helpful to explain things as if they already know what you are talking about! This lesson led me down a wonderful exploratory train of thought.
