I am lost without you!

You all do an excellent job of giving me the latest news and updates from a non-biased opinion. I am starting to get some brain drain on the ongoing and repetitive problems with our political system, nuances, and gripping with our American leadership. Love it if you could take one or two days to hit other relevant and important topics in the United States/world.. Thank you for your consideration. Hope some folks may feel the same.

The insane commercial to content ratio is reminiscent of old cable tv times. Used to love this podcast, now unlistenable.

We Start Here every day! We love how Brad breaks everything down so the average, busy American can understand what is happening in our country and around the world. We love the writing, editing and production quality. It actually feels like you are sitting in our living room explaining everything directly to us. ( actually me, my husband understands it well) Keep up the great work and we look forward to Start Here tomorrow morning while enjoying our morning coffee.

I absolutely love this show, I listen to it every morning. The reporting is direct and insightful, and Brad is hilarious. The pun at the end of every episode makes my day!

I’m 100% independent when it comes to politics but I had to stop listening to this podcast. My husband used to tease me about how he could hear Brad Milky talking while I was in the shower! It was the first thing I listened to every morning before work. It keeps getting less and less “and that’s the news” and more and more “here’s our perspective “. The premise of the cast is exactly what I’m looking for but the delivery isn’t objective. And that’s my news.

I love that I can tap into this daily news show and catch up on the top stories during my commute. Brad is top notch and brings integrity and spark to my mornings. All of the contributors as outstanding as well.

This is a 5 star morning news podcast that is a great way to start your day. I also absolutely love the sound bite at the end after the sign off. My only question is why is there not one every day?

This is my trusted go-to news every morning. It’s become such a part of my routine that when the podcast isn’t updated or misses a day, I start to worry about Brad Mielke’s well-being and feel like I should reach out to his mom just to make sure he’s okay. Thanks for being such a reliable and enjoyable part of my morning routine.

I’ve listened to this podcast every day for years and have slowly noticed how pro Israel the messaging is. Coverage of Palestine always focused on antisemitism and not genocide. Poor coverage of an obviously false flag bus bombing in Israel last year. And now, further bias reporting on the Iran Israel conflict. Today’s headline is for a synagogue attack where no one but the driver died while thousands are dying in Middle East. I am finding a new podcast.

And sometimes the only one I listen to. I find Brad and the other news people reassuring and informative without over sensationalizing. Short and to the point.

Love to start my day with start here. It’s the perfect length with just enough news to know what’s going on in the world, without being overwhelmed. I especially look forward to “one last thing” and the sound bite at the end. I always try to guess what it will be and Brad’s corny dad jokes lol. Keep up the good work crew!

The show is interesting and does help you start with the major stories of the day. I prefer CNN’s This Morning podcast bc I feel like it covers way more news. And it has a lot of guest “experts” and analysts who bring variety to the show. Of course that show is longer, currently about 45 mins or so. Start Here is better than NPRs First Up bc that only covers 3 stories and only very briefly. I would prefer if Start Here had more coverage of more stories, and also more voices than just the one host, either guest panels or co-hosts. Better than Morning Joe, which seems to weirdly have a lot of inside jokes that a new listener doesn’t understand. Better than Fox n Friends bc Start Here is way more objective/neutral, mostly. And Start Here is a straight news program, mostly without “fluff” stories like what sundresses are in style this summer, etc. Update: Start Here has been covering recent events in a very strange way. They almost sounded HAPPY that the U.S. and Israel just started a new war in the Middle East. Nothing was said about the Iranian people and the inevitable civilian casualties. Iranians are people too, ABC. They also have a very pro-Israel bias. I’ve noticed it ever since the increased coverage of the region after Oct 7, 2023. They have significantly more Jewish or Israeli voices versus Palestinian/Muslim/Arab/Iranian views. I guess I should be used to it by now, but I keep hoping that an American media company will have the conviction, or at least the journalistic standards to cover both sides equally and fairly.

I have been with you, Brad, since the “beginning,” and always enjoy your daily conversations and synopses. I started a tally sheet about 5-8 minutes in to the speech and ended up with 102 times the audience clapped their hands — was Vanna White’s hand clapping record eclipsed? I also counted 90 times that the audience stood up. Did they get their exercise for the day? Have sore thigh muscles today? Keep doing what you do, Brad!

I always start my day with Start Here. So thru some glitch in the matrix, when the episode for 2/24/26 did not and would not download to my phone my day was basically shot. I should have just stayed in bed. A day without Start Here is like a day without my phone. I might as well be in the stone ages.

If the news had a “CliffsNotes but make it intelligent” version, this would be it. Highly recommend.

In a time of constant uncertainty this is the vast run down of the news you need plus you always get to finish with the one last thing.

The news is so biased this time of our life. This one’s not the worst but it’s getting worse.

I like to listen to this podcast to get updated on what’s going on in the world. I stopped watching the news several years ago because I got tired of all the negativity but I still want to be informed. I feel that this is a great way to do that. The only reason I did it give five stars is because I feel like sometimes the news that is delivered can have a slant to the democratic side. Please just give me the news and let me decide on my own.

how with the proof that we have now the elites harming children do you still refuse to report on these travesties? I guess ABC is owned by the same perverts, probably on the same list!

I’m a long time listener of this podcast and I love it. It’s very informative in a way that keeps my interest each morning. Brad is awesome and most of the guests are great as well. But the reporter named Olivia is really bad, with terrible delivery and excessive use of Brad’s name.

I have been listening to Start here with my fiancé almost every morning since the beginning of our relationship (4.5 years). It helps keep us informed and leads to plenty of conversations about what is going in the world, especially the one last thing. I greatly appreciate receiving the news without a spin so that I can interpret events myself without being told how I should feel about them. Grazie Mille!

Brief upbeat daily news that affects my life! Bravo!! Keep it I up Brad!

I’m up and down on this podcast day to day. At its best it’s really informative and covers a lot. But it sometimes takes strange angles on stories that are kind of inexcusable. Today it was wildly dismissive of the No Kings rallies. I was also really disappointed in the Jimmy Kimmel coverage. Adding to this. It’s 1/23/26 and they spent two segments discussing other ABC properties instead of all the ridiculous news actually going on.

With a 30-minute commute each way, this podcast has become my go-to for staying informed. It’s clear, timely, and easy to follow—perfect for the drive to and from work. Thanks for making the news part of my daily routine. — Roger G., Austin

I started Listening to Start Here over a year ago. It’s the start to every morning! They give you the top stories to keep you in the know and it’s always just the right amount of news. With all the crazy going on in the world I really appreciate this show and the professionalism!

I've been a listener of Start Here for years you finally gone from left leaning to full out fake news. Your temporary host replacing Brad doesn't belong on a news show. Identifying an anti government activist trained to distrupt law enforcement with her wife trying to run over an agent is just a mother of three is unconscionable. Bad reviews left and unsubscribed.

I’ve been listening to Start Here for a year now and just wanted to say how much I appreciate the non biased news reports and the fun wrap up at the end (keep the sound bites coming please!) Thank you Brad & crew for all the awesome work you guys do!

It’s started to feel weird to NOT listen to Start Here to kick off my day and get a good idea of the news (even when it feels like the news cycle is rife with Bad News, Brad is a bright spot). It’s gotten to the point where if I’m listening to it with my headphones, my kiddo will ask to hear it, and she knows that “news” = “Brad” (and asks questions like “Who’s that? That’s not Brad!) when it’s not Brad, no shade to the other fabulous guest hosts who let Brad have birthdays and vacations and such). I always look forward to whatever pun or sound effect will surround the “One Last Thing” segment for an interesting, unexpected piece of news; it helps me contribute something at my work’s morning meetings for “something trending” and I love the annual wrap-up of best OLT stories every year.

I’ve listened daily since 2019. Now a former journalist living in rural Arkansas, I’m still addicted to news and Brad gets me feeling current every day. I have a long drive and leave at 4 am. I know the spot in the road with just enough service to get the latest episode when it drops around 4:35! Thank you for the good journalism you do.

With everything going on in the world, I decided to pare down my news to the essentials. These days it’s “Start Here” and “The Bulwark” …that’s it! Thank you for all the hard work to keep us informed.

It is shameful that ABC can’t do a news show. This show is a thinly veiled arm of the left political party.

I’m a local news reporter, and I listen to Start Here every morning as part of my national news diet! Brad does a fantastic job of breaking down tough concepts for anyone to understand, and the reporting comes directly from ABC News correspondents.

This news cast does cover a lot of what’s happening right now with this administration but does not at all emphasize how insane and unhinged this president and his posse is. They talk about boat strikes, off of Venezuela without even mentioning that these strikes are basically an act of war. This podcast seems to doing its part to move the Overton Window to the right. Gross

I start my day here every day and miss Brad on Saturdays and Sundays. And any day he isn’t hosting. Start Here keeps me current without having to navigate all the negativity that is out there. Love this show!!!
