On this week’s episode I talk about my 2015 album SOLUS and how it came to be. I was at a point in my life where I realized I could not be in a successful and healthy relationship until I processed some major things from the past and how they had made me relate to others. Being so close to someone had become impossible and I had work to do. SOLUS is that work.

In this episode we talk about my 2010 release Myth & Stars. Using mythology and its connection to the night sky, I processed both the personal and the collective.

In this episode I discuss my 2014 album Lantern Through the Labyrinth in which every song was based on a dream I have had at some point in my life. It was an interesting journey and project. I go through each song and explain the dream it is based on as well as the musical symbolism throughout the album.

This week I discuss my album The Winter Children and the process of writing it. While written between 1998 and 2002, I did not have professional recordings of it at the time. I later recorded and released it, in 2009.

In the season two premiere I discuss my second full-length album Lily Sleeps. Recorded in 1996 and 1997 this record was a very experimental and emotional time for me.

In this final installment for season one I tell a story I have never told about deciding how and when I wanted to come out and how that was jeopardized by some behind the scenes betrayals. It was interesting to process some of my thought processes from 1995-2004 through the lens of 2020. I was young and had to make tough decisions that many on all sides disagreed with sometimes. It has taken this long for me to be comfortable enough to really talk about it. Throughout we hear three unreleased live recordings that I recently found going through a bunch of CD-Rs. 

Hear about how things unfolded and devolved after making Standing at the Edge as my experience with a major label soured a bit. I also hang up on Madonna.
