Our triumphant return! After what seemed like an eternity, the Stabby Roadsters are back to kick off three episodes about "CONTAGION"!
We launch with a film that is, in retrospect, scarier post-pandemic than it was back in 1971: "The Andromeda Strain", based on the novel by Michael Crichton, who also created "Jurassic Park" (so now we should really be worried about cloned dinosaurs, yes?).
On a technical note: our separate audio track was corrupted (and has since been arrested for it), so Rob was able to rescue the audio from the cameras. As a result, the audio is uneven and a bit room-tone-y. It does not affect the quality of humor, of course.

We wrap up our series on "School Daze" with Sonia's pick, the modern classic "Jennifer's Body" from 2009.
Listen to us talk about Megan Fox's seriously underrated acting chops, Diablo Cody at her wackiest, and how Amanda Seyfried's eyeglasses are about as convincing as Clark Kent's.

The Stabby Roadsters continue their matriculation on "School Daze" with Rob's entry, 1990's "The Faculty".
Practical effects, Josh Hartnett's haircut and Russian winter hats are discussed at great length. Some get educated with our take on 'The Faculty"!

We're back after an unforeseen hiatus with a really weird one.
Our first of three weeks covering high-school-related-horror (a redundancy if I ever heard one) starts with Joe's selection, the obscure cult...classic? 1981's "Strange Behavior"!

This is the trippiest film we've covered yet!

Ah, the cosmic horrors unleashed by the complicated H.P. Lovecraft.
We separate the art from the artist like a Necronomicon spellcaster separates a being into two different dimensions for the next three weeks, as we cover the eldritch terror of filmic HPL.
This week we start with Joe's pick, 1970's "The Dunwich Horror", a surprisingly effective translation for the time.

Join the Stabby Roadsters as Sonia presents a film that could double as a form of birth control: the 2007 example of the New French Extremity, "Inside".

Would you care for some turtle soup with a side of she-kebab? The Stabby Roadsters go there, with Ruggero Deodato's groundbreakingly nauseating "found footage" opus, "Cannibal Holocaust".
Second entry in our series on "global horror", this was a tough watch and, according to Rob, even tougher to edit ;)
Enjoy!
