
In this week's episode, we were joined by professional triathlete, Ollie Turner.
Ollie grew up on the island of Jersey in the Channel Islands and took up triathlon after family friends started going along. After quickly falling in love with the sport, Ollie became more competitive and started working his way up and through the British system.
For the last 3 years Ollie has been based at the National Performance Centre for Triathlon in Cardiff whilst he was studying for his degree in Sport and Exercise Science, which he has just completed. In addition to training himself, Ollie also coaches for ENTIRE Performance Coaching, a company set up by his training partners at the Performance Centre (find more details below).
Ollie's career highlights include representing Jersey at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in the Gold Coast, racing the ITU World Cup series and finishing 17th overall in SuperLeague 2018.

In this episode, we welcomed 3x Olympic Swimmer and Scottish Swimming superstar Hannah Miley. Hannah has been swimming since she can remember and grew up swimming for Inverurie Swimming Centre. Since turning 19 Hannah has been to 3 Olympics, been Commonwealth Champion twice and won British Championships on 22 occasions! Alongside that, Hannah was the 2018 European Champion and is a multiple-time world medalist. In this week's episode, we were joined by Douglas Wood, the Renaissance Triathlete.
Doug grew up as a competitive runner and orienteerer before switching to the sport of triathlon in his 50s. Since then, Doug has completed over 100 triathlons across 17 countries and 4 different continents and has represented the GB age-group team on multiple occasions.
Not only is Doug an incredibly successful athlete, but during the 2020 lockdown, Doug also became a published author. "Renaissance Triathlete," tells the tale of Doug's journey in triathlon and provides lots of information on staying sport well into your older years... and even has a foreword written by Alastair Brownlee.

In this week's episode we welcomed on ex-fencer and now triathlete Graham Coull.
Graham spoke to us about his journey into sport as a young child and how he became British Champion of Fencing from the age of 13-21! We then discussed how Graham left sport due to business commitments and slowly worked his way back after moving to the Isle of Man and entering a triathlon. Since then, Graham has completed over 30+ IronMan events and inspired countless individuals to start their own sporting journey and get active. As well as being a keen triathlete and adventurer, Graham is also a Level 2 Triathlon Coach and IronMan certified coach, coaching for You Can Sport and Stirling Triathlon Club where he is also President.
Graham's story is brilliant and we discussed a range of topics including how sport can impact you as a business person, funniest racing moments and how to make sure you're getting out of your comfort zone.

In this episode, we welcomed 3x 70.3 Champion and Ironman UK 2010 winner, Fraser Cartmell. Fraser has been sporty since he was a child, and was a keen swimmer in his younger years until he found triathlon. After his first race, Fraser was hooked and joined the Scottish Development system. Once at uni, Fraser continued to train and qualified for his first European Championships at the end of his first year as a Mechanical Engineering Student at Heriot-Watt University. Throughout university, Fraser continued to race and progressed to racing the world and continental cup series. After not making the Commonwealth Games team in 2006, Fraser made the step up to 70.3 racing and won his first race. From there, he then jumped to Ironman distance racing and won Ironman UK in 2010. Since retiring as a professional athlete, Fraser has been working as a presenter at Global Triathlon Network and has been involved in some amazing feature videos including Celtman 2019 and Norseman 2019. In this episode, we are joined by 2019 Junior Cross-Country Mountain Biking Champion, Charlie Aldridge.
Charlie has been cycling since he was young and started bike racing when he was 11, which lead to him very quickly progressing through the Scottish and British Development systems until he made British Cycling Junior Academy in 2017 after winning the European Youth Championships.
Charlie has balanced school work and university work with training for the majority of his cycling journey and continues to do so now that he is studying for a degree in Mechanical Engineering at The University of Edinburgh.

In this week's episode, we are joined by 2x World Duathlon Champion and holder of the fastest ever female debut ironman time in history... Catriona Morrison MBE. Catriona started triathlon following surgery on her achilies and then got the triathlon bug before very quickly being picked up by the national squad in Scotland. Catriona went onto race at the Commonwealth games with only 5 full triathlons under her belt prior to the games and her career then really picked up - eventually taking her to 2x world duathlon and long-distance duathlon champion as well as 2x European Duathlon champion.
Catriona talks us through how she got into sport, her journey from triathlon to duathlon, and the physical and mental battles of iron-distance racing.

In this episode, we were joined by Natalie Stewart (nee. Milne), ex-GB triathlete, and Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth games triathlete. Natalie talked about her journey into triathlon as a teenager and how she progressed into the elite triathlon once she got to uni.
Natalie went on to represent GB 25times across the ETU European cup, ITU world cup, and WTS triathlon series before retiring in 2017 following a career-ending shoulder injury. Since then, Natalie has launched her coaching company, Stewart Triathlon Coaching, and become the head coach for Pentland Triathlete Juniors alongside becoming a mum to baby Lachlann who is now 1.
