Here's your host to get us started.Deacon Angelo Giambrone: 1:12Hi, we are Cindy and Deacon Angelo. And this show is called wedding dads. And for today's show, we'll be discussing the topic of restorative love between married couples. These are couples who may be challenged by disappointments in their life or pain in their marriage, are looking for a way to stay together and rediscover the graces in their marriage and Christ presence there. Before we get started, we remind you that we are not Cindy and I are not marriage counselors. And our guests aren't either. We're just married couples that are sharing our experience with you, Angela andCindy Giambrone: 1:48We start every morning with morning prayer. And we'd like to share the favorite line of that prayer with you. And this is from the letter to Hebrews 313 In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen. Dear Lord, please help us to remember this as a sacramental couple, that every day as long as this today last, that we keep encouraging one another. We asked this sir Jesus Holy Name, Amen.Deacon Angelo Giambrone: 2:17Amen. I think encouraging one another is important part of retroviral. We're going to heard about Retrovir today, and restorative love. Today, we have an amazing couple as guests for wedding bands. And that's Deacon Pete, and Jan louder. And today's topic, as we said, for couples listening is something called restorative love. And specifically, it's for helping those marriages who are in crisis right now. And cup what couples might do to rebuild the love that's there. But before we get started on your experience in background in retro buying, what retro buy is, actually and your ministry there. Might you please share some of your background with us and the couples that are listening today?Cindy Giambrone: 2:59How long you've been married, where you met?Deacon Pete, and Jan louder: 3:02Oh, my gosh, we're going back that far. Well, we've been married for 45 years. And about 20 years ago, and our marriage, we ran into some problems and had no idea what to do. And we spoke to marriage counselor, which was adequate. But we received the information about retro vi from Father Leo Celano, a Norbertine. Priests here in Orange County, and he told us about something we'd never heard about truly and couldn't even spell it. Retro VI and we made phone call right away to retro vie. They had a weekend coming up. And we went on the first weekend like two weeks later. And I honest to gosh, it was just mind blowing. It was wonderful. It was just more than you could possibly imagine to reacquaint ourselves with each other when we had fallen so far apart. And we have found Retrovir to be the answer to our prayers. And for years, we were very involved

It's Deacon Steve Greco.Marianne, welcome to the Bible. And you.Are you more excited than me? I think so.I could never be more so. Okay. It's possible.I love these readings once again, yeah, there's so filled with joy over scripture, right? And when you love Jesus, you love scripture. What did St. Jerome say? I don't know. What did he say said ignorance of Scripture is ignorance of Jesus. Ignorance of God. And the bottom line is this is that, thank you for tuning in. Tell your friends about this. And be filled with every spiritual blessing. Heavenly Father, we thank you, we praise You and worship you. And we ask Lord God, that all the people out there, be blessed and healed spiritually, mentally, emotionally and physically, that their ears be open their heart be open to receive the word that you have for them, through the intercession of our blessings, mother, St. Joseph, and all holy heavenly angels and saints, and I consecrate you to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and your families in Jesus name. And then the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.Amen.Oh, les Lujah. Oh, lay lujah ALU ALU? Yeah. Are we in February?Yeah. This week, we're reading the first readings from Isaiah. And this is really a description of Isaiah, his encounter with the Holy God of Israel and actually, his calling to be a prophet. And it's a very holy moment. I think there's a lot for us to learn.Well, there's an awful lot for us to learn from the standpoint that when we're open to God's calling, then great blessings happen to us. So let's begin in the Father and the Son Holy Spirit. Amen. A reading from the book of the prophet Isaiah. In the year King Israa. died, I saw the Lord seated on a high end lofty throne, with a train of his garment, filling the temple, Serafin were stationed above, they cried one to the other, holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts. All the earth is filled with His glory. At the sound of that cry, the frame of the door shook, and the house was filled with smoke. Then I said, Woe is me, I'm doomed. For I am a man of unclean lips, living among a people of unclean lips. Yet my eyes have seen the king the Lord of hosts, then one of the Seraphim flew to me, holding the ember that he had taken with tongs from the altar. He touched my mouth with it and said, see now that this is touch your lips, your wickedness is removed, your sin purged. Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, Whom shall I send? Who will go for us? Here I am. I said, Send me the word of the Lord. Thanks be to God. Okay. One of the things I'd like to start out with is talking about the Serafin there angels, part of the choir of angels that have something connected with the knowledge of God. And they cried to one another, holy, holy is the Lord of God. And holy is three times. And th

And we praise God for what He created you to be and do and how you say, Yes, Lord. And so I just want to share with our audience a little bit about you and I have more to learn about you too. Yeah,Dominic Ramirez: 2:33I was at Ohio State and had the opportunity to run with just an amazing group of three other individuals to I'm now in ministry with and I went to actually the first encounter conference I was in at St. John Newman, in Columbus, Ohio. And I encountered the person of the Holy Spirit in such a beautiful way on December 10 2016, and just was launched into a life to live on mission, Lord used a ministry called Damascus Academy summer camp to sort of lead me on the path that he right now that he has for me, which was dropping out of school, and then just fully laid down my life to say yes, to whatever he has. So that's sort of the short story of how I got to where I'm at.Katie Hughes: 3:16Wow, I kind of think you didn't drop out, you just changed. You changed class. You changed your college, the College of Jesus Christ, right, like just went it total intense. So that's amazing. I have found so many people have encountered the Lord in a profound way through encounter and it's just, it's just like, I feel the Lord on me right now. Just the Lord's anointing is on that ministry in a beautiful, exciting and bold way. And he's like, he's transforming lives, like it's transformed my life. I thought my life was transformed, and even more happened. And so praise God, for what happened, what the Lord did to you and, and brought you at Damascus and Damascus. For the next hour, join Deacon Steve and his guests as they share their testimonies, love of their Catholic faith and the importance of the Holy Spirit's in all our lives. Now, here's Deacon Steve.Deacon Steve: 1:05Hello everyone. This is Deacon Steve Greco. Hi, atop the tower of hope in beautiful Christ cathedral. And wow, am I excited? I'm always excited to have Katie Hughes on our show, because she loves the Lord is an evangelist is called the mission call to live out her faith. She's in charge of our internet, radio, spirit filled radio and operations and our podcasts. Welcome back to the show, Katie,Katie Hughes: 1:32thank you so excited,Deacon Steve: 1:34I'm excited. I'm so excited. This particular show is called Call to Mission. We are called to live out our faith as priests, prophet and king. And I just want to take a look for a second at Matthew 28, where it's a commissioning of disciples and we're called to be missionary disciples. We're called to live out our faith. And Jesus with the disciples went to galley went to a mountain. And he said, All power of Heaven Earth have been given to Me in verse 18, and following, Go therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son, the Holy Spirit, teaching them observe all I've commanded you. And behold, I'm with you until the end of age. And of course, the similar thing in Mark and acts of the apostles, the first chapter, you know, we're called, to make a difference in bringing Jesus to people wherever we go, your thoughts, gay,Katie Hughes: 2:35amen. And this goes to everyone, whether you're washing the dishes in the kitchen, or taking the dog out for a walk, there are no excuses. We are called and God puts people in our lives, whatever we're doing, and family members, and we can make a huge difference in a soul. Like, whether it's your child, whether it's your spouse, a friend, or a complete stranger that needs to hear about Jesus,Deacon Steve: 3:04my brothers and sisters, no matter where you are. I evangelize in grocery stores, airplanes, or restaurants walking down the street, wherever it might be. We are called to be Jesus to be the light of the world. We are called the holiness. But how do we do that? What starts with surrender? We are called to be holy, and it starts with surrender. We have to surrender our life to Jesus Christ. We have to hunger and thirst for him. Matthew five, six, Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness. For them, there'll be filled. There's no way we can go on mission, unless we're ready for it. And the way we're ready for it is by saying yes to Jesus,Katie Hughes: 3:45amen. And the Lord when you say, Yes, hold on, and buckle up. He's gonna take you for an amazing ride with him.Deacon Steve: 3:56Now, I've known you now for I don't kno

Our host is father Jacob Shea, a Norbertine father of St. Michael's Abbey in Orange County, California. Father Shea has a great love for our church's heritage, the beauty of our Catholic heritage with father Jacob SheaFr. Jacob Hsieh: 0:54Welcome back to the beauty of our Catholic heritage here with father Jacob Shea. Let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen. Today, we will begin speaking about Septuagesima Sunday sexagesimal. Sunday, Queen corsages, he must Sunday, and then we will have let so Septuagesima Sunday is 70 days before Easter, can hide you can kind of here in the word Septuagesima 70. So Septuagesima is 70 days before Easter, then you have sex such as he must Sunday, which is 60 days before Easter, Queen quadras, Mr. 50 days before Easter. And then of course, Quadragesima , that's 40 days before Easter. And that's what we usually call lent Quadra Gesima is,Lent. So, already on Septuagesima, Sunday, the priest will wear purple. And so the color green is not used there. And the purple reminds us that lent is coming, then you also will have no glory. And this is another preparation for the fasting and the abstinence of lead. This also happens on sexagesimal Sunday. And so here in the old maths, you will have only purple worn on the Sundays. And then you will have then during Lent purple all the time. So we see that we must prepare for Lent. And way before Lent. So we're actually practicing preparation three weeks before lat. And that's really the way that it should be done. Here we see that in the modern culture when you have Fat Tuesday, mardi gras, you have a lot of crazy customs that start. And so of course, we know how should we spend our Fat Tuesday, it really should be already in preparation for Lent. And so a lot of people are going to go drinking, they're going to go partying, etc. And they're going to stay up late in the night. And then what happens they wake up for Ash Wednesday and Boo. Right, that's not a good way to start your Lent. And so we have to keep the ancient practice of what's called Shrove Tuesday. And so here of course, you can have a little party, that's fine. But the main thing that you're doing is going to confession. Shrove Tuesday, is named because this is when people usually want to go to confession. So you're preparing to have a beautiful, beautiful, beautiful land, a time where you're growing even closer to God in deep prayer, and also making sure that your emotions, your passions. And this I use the word passion in the philosophical sense that his your emotions are under control, that they always exist for Jesus. In this time. In this age, we have people who get angry so easily, they get sad so easily. They are not in control of their emotions, their emotions control them. And so when we do fasting and when we do abstinence, right, we are trying to subject our body to

FIRE ON THE EARTH with Peter Herbeck - Marching Orders

Michael Gabriel Raphael, what an exciting thing to think about God's amazing creation. And the angels he's created to give glory to Jesus to be at the service of the Lord, and to protect us and to help us. It's amazing to think we actually can know these angels just something about them God's revealed it to us. And we do want to celebrate them today and thank the Lord for them. That what what might be helpful is to just look at what the Catechism says about the existence of angels, and dimensions and things we can learn from it because I don't think everybody knows what the Church teaches what Scripture is taught about it. So I thought to begin with, paragraph 328. It says the existence of the spiritual, non corporeal beings that sacred scriptures usually calls angels is a truth of faith. The witness of Scripture is as clear as the unanimity of tradition. So it is a truth of the faith. We've it's been revealed to us that God has made the angels and the angels are at the service of the king, paragraph 329. St. Augustine says, Angel is the name of their office, not of their nature. That's interesting. I think people talk about an angelic nature. I've heard people talk about the visit, let me say it again. Augustine said St. Augustine said angel is the name of their office, not their nature. If you seek the name of their nature, it is spirit. So their nature, we are embodied spirits. We have bodies. So angels are spirits fundamental. That's their nature. There's a spiritual nature says, If you seek the name of their office, it is Angel, from what they are spirit, from what they do, Angel, so their spirits who do what angels do. He goes on with their whole beings, the angels are servants, and messengers of God. So that's what it means to be an angel, what they do, an Angels a servant, and a messenger of God, because they quote, always be hold the face of my Father who is in heaven, Jesus said, they are the mighty ones who do his word, harkening to the voice of His Word. So beautiful to think about paragraph 330 as purely spiritual creatures, angels have intelligence and will. They are personal, in immortal creatures, surpassing imperfection, all visible creatures, as the splendor of their glory bears witness. So they're filled with glory, they're filled with splendor, they minister to the king, they minister in the presence of God, you know, we would say day and night, I mean, they're an eternity. So it's not exactly it's not linear time, like, but we're experiencing, but they're there. Now, it gets really interesting, from my perspective, here, paragraph 331. Christ is the center of the angelic world. Think about that for a minute. Let's just imagine it. Who's at the center? Who are the angels, most attentive to the myriads of myriads of angels in the levels of angels. Jesus Christ is the center of the angelic world. They are his angels. The Catechism says, that beautiful there his angels, Prince, this is why, again, this another expression and way of understanding Jesus, there is no one like him. There's so many, even
