I’m for it
Unpretentious and funny, unlike most literature-related podcasts.

amazing taste
i’ve only recently started listening, but these guys have the best taste in literature! their discussions are super accessible and easy to understand, and they have a great sense of humor too :) i appreciate the sensitivity around difficult topics and the willingness to delve into a diverse range of books and subject matter too.

The Hogwarts House segment killed it for me
Wanted to give this a chance since the show covers a lot of really good books. Listened to one episode, felt pretty good about them. I kinda thought the Hogwarts house segment was kind of a one-off joke for the episode I listened to; realized it happens every episode. I’m sorry, but I just find that insufferable and unconscionable, especially given JKR’s recent war against trans people. That woman and her crappy children’s books really don’t need anymore cultural currency.

Insightful wisdom and analysis, despite its strong language
Our “readers” here have a lot to impart to us. The show doesn’t take itself too seriously, which is probably why it seems to have been overlooked in the literary podcast world. Yet, despite this, their observations are incredibly perspicacious (in-between occasional swearing and on-air belching).
If you’re a fan of Overdue (podcast), you will like this. It is similar in its relaxed structure, but it has a lot to offer.
