Speaking to Water

Dawn
Let's talk about how we face difficult things: What we say about them, how we speak to them, and what we tell ourselves and others to help us heal. We're turning the waves that threaten to drown us into water that heals us.
Speak to the Water
Do you feel like you are under water? Struggling with hurt, pain, stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, abuse, rejection, or confusion? It's not difficult to find evidence of hard things in your life. Maybe you are even too weary to think about it. You're not alone in this friend, though I know you might feel that way. All those struggles do a good job of convincing you that you are alone and that nothing will ever change.I have spent years trying to claw my way out of deep pain, trauma, and abuse. I wasn't sure I would ever be emotionally alive again. I was constantly drowning in overwhelm. I had to find a way through the raging waters. Maybe you can identify? You don't want to just survive anymore.  But you don't know how to face the difficult things in your life--how to speak to that rising tide of fear, doubt, shame, and pain. Trauma changes you. The beautiful news is: You were meant to heal, and you were created to thrive. We're in this together. We can change the waves that drown us into water that heals us.In the first episode of the Speaking to Water podcast, you'll hear:how trauma changes you, and how it can teach youmy own story of healing, where I am on the journey, and how we can walk this togetherwhat might be going on in your amazing brainhow you can speak to the waterWhere are you in your own healing journey?
