Just outside Crestwood, Kentucky, lies Floydsburg Cemetery, one of the oldest burial grounds in Oldham County and home to a particularly heartbreaking ghost story. For generations, visitors have reported seeing the apparition of a mysterious woman dressed in white, wandering among the weathered headstones, sometimes carrying a lantern or a prayer book as though searching for someone. According to local legend, the restless spirit belongs to Belle Wilson, a young woman whose hopes for love and marriage came to a tragic end during the nineteenth century.
