Kabelo Motlhomi, known professionally as ‘Kabza Heavypanda’ is a Johannesburg based DJ. His musical journey started at the age of 10 years, when he started taking violin lessons and went on to study music after high school. However his DJ career only began after completing his music studies in 2009, where he fell in love with both jazz and house music, then eagerly went on to teach himself how to DJ under the mentorship of the legendary Diepkloof DJ Lil’ O, a prominent name in the Soweto DJ circuit. Kabza Heavypanda has established himself as a refined professional Musician and DJ, he has had the honour to share the stage with the likes of DJ Black Coffee, Christos, Fresh, Hugh Masekela and many more. His DJ sets currently consists of Deep House, Soulful Deep House, Commercial House and Old School Classics. He is very hard working and passionate about his work. With the wide range of experience and music in his collection, he is capable of setting the perfect mood based on the venue he is performing at for the day. He releases his own mixtapes titled ”Sound Tapestry” for his followers & fellow House heads, which can be found on all popular podcast apps.
