To kick off Season 2 of the SommWhat Podcast we decided to dive into why and how we got started in our podcast. People start podcasts for many reasons. Our reason is pretty simple. We wanted to start learning more about the wine we were drinking while enjoying some good conversations. In this episode we talk about the one car ride we took that led us to this starting down the journey of having our very own podcast.

With tart and sour flavors, this Casa Rondeña Viognier is a wonderful pick for those want a bit of a punch of flavor out of their wine.  Pair with fondue and white meat such as chicken and fish for the perfect combination.  

This is a white wine on the drier side that is good on its own, but in this case we chose to pair it with a few cheeses for a great summer afternoon!

The St. Clair Imperial Kir was such a fun wine to taste with such a fun guest, our Dad! Join us as we discover the crisp sweet flavors as well as have some great laughs and discuss how this wine can bring a smile to everyone's face. 

Reviewed and recorded on-site at the Casa Rondeña Winery in Albuquerque, NM, this Meritage Red Blend was one of our absolute favorites! The blend of different red wines into one glass provides a sip of multiple flavors and a variety of aromas! Instant classic and the perfect go-to red wine! 

This Muscat, from the Wines of San Juan winery,  is a refreshing white moscato! Mix in some geography and politics for a nice summer afternoon amongst sisters. 

This week's pick is a Dry White Wine from St. Clair's Winery here in New Mexico. This Pinot Grigio had very fresh tart flavors and is the best chilled wine for a summer afternoon! 

We have our first guest, our mother! Noisy Water winery out of Ruidoso, NM has a wonderful selection of wines for any occasion, so we picked two for this episode. One very sweet white, Jo Mamma's Mango Tango and on the other end of the spectrum, the Demigod a cabernet sauvignon.

From Napa Valley, this Dominican Oaks Merlot Vintage 2014 was an absolute great pick! Tart cherry flavors that get you ready for fall weather.
