The "Broken Bird" segment highlights the unhealthy and imbalanced relationship dynamics present in my life. I hope that this episode encourages people especially women to practice self love which includes learning to take care of yourselves so that you may be able to take care of those around you. This happens through healing and taking your time so that when you rise, you are able to thrive. Hope that this is worth listening...

"Praying for our men" is the laziest thing I could say toward this cause. This month is Suicide Awareness Month and I think it's a tragedy when awareness is only raised momentarily but the rest of our lives don't really reflect the values of the movements we stand behind. This episode is a review on the scenes from tonight's episode of the local hit telenovela, "The River." Commentary is given about the breaking point of Lindiwe and Zweli's love story and hopefully the beginning of them finally accepting their love for what it truly is.

Although we aren't responsible for suicides, this episode is about the sense of duty we need to have to account for them. "Everything...affects everything." If we choose to do things differently going forward by being more gentle and compassionate, the world might just be a much safer place for people to heal and to seize today and other days ahead.
