This podcast has changed my perspective on so many topics. It's one of the few out there that really engages your brain and makes you think about how everyday people from many different backgrounds perceive race, social justice, gender, sexuality, mental health, money, influence, power, education, history and politics (among other topics). Shira uses her platform in such a new, unique and beautiful way. She listens to her guests and either adds to the discourse or challenges it in a thoughtful, thought provoking and elegant fashion. The Somebody Do Something podcast is an essential listen for anyone and everyone who's willing to open their eyes to a progressive perspective that may differ from their own. As it grows, so too will the minds of its listeners, as it makes the world a better, more inclusive place for all.

PhillyShira creates more than a podcast but a community of knowledge out of her family and friends and makes them co-conspirators on her mission to educate the world for good. I love the topics tackled in this podcast and every episode is interesting and unique it is important to hear things like this to tell how the world is and how to improve instead of saying the world sucks….. that’s it for example the news now before I bash the news let me say this news is important it keeps you informed and aware of what is going on in the world but it leaves you or at the very least me sad at the end but this keeps you informed on important topics that are relevant right now and gives personal and general solutions that can help make the world better
