Definitely worth a listen!
I am *not* a podcast listener, but I make time for David and Megan every week. Their blend of humor, enthusiasm, deep knowledge, and science is very entertaining, and every week I come away from the episode having learned something new. Thank you SWAP for changing my running for the better!

Best podcast ever
I have learned so much from Megan and David! They are hilarious, experienced, and up on all the current research! I highly recommend this podcast to all runners! Keep up the great work! Huzzah!

Best running podcast ever!
Seriously love this podcast. I say best running podcast but it’s actually my favorite podcast. David and Megan, both great runners in their own right, are coaches to some of the best runners in the world so in other words, they know their stuff. The podcast is a great mix of running news, recent science studies applicable to runners and tons of funny moments. One thing that sets this podcast apart is how authentic and real David and Megan are. They’re just so positive and uplifting to everyone and listening to this podcast really brightens up my week. Tuesday is officially Some Work, All Play podcast day. Keep up the great work!

David and Megan are awesome and loving and creative and as a bonus so smart too! Give a listen!!!

Latest episode
Overall I like this podcast. This review is specific to the latest episode (4/9/24). David had a story to tell about his accident, but Megan totally dominated that conversation and it became more about her and less about David’s experience. Take a breath every once in a while Megan, and let David share his story.

Recovery
I hope your recovery goes well and fast David! I’m thankful you survived

I love this podcast!
David and Megan bring such positive energy and when you combine that with their coaching knowledge and motivational skills, it cannot be beat. I am a 71 year old runner and they are a constant source of inspiration. DO yourself a flover and give it a listen. Woo Hoo!

The best!
I very rarely write reviews for podcasts and rarely enjoy podcasts outside of the interview format, but David & Megan are special and listening to their show is equal parts informative, entertaining, and encouraging. Obviously you’re going to get a lot out of it if you’re a runner, but other athletes, science nerds, and people that enjoy a good dose of positivity in their day would all enjoy this delightful show. Huzzah!

Great vibes and great practical advice!
I came to the podcast already familiar with SWAP coaching. There are so many great insights and pieces of advice in the podcasts! Megan and David are two amazingly positive and supportive leaders in the trail running community!!!

Happy Twees
I 💜 this podcast and have learned so much from the science and coaching discussions. I also appreciate the fact that Megan and David don’t take themselves or running too seriously. I’ve listened to every regular and Patreon episode and look forward to new ones weekly so that I can enjoy them while I run through the twees 😂

I love this podcast
The SWAP podcast has kept me company, inspired and entertained me on countless hours of long runs, workouts, and even train rides. My week would be incomplete without David and Megan in my ears. Brilliant insights, sexy science, humor, and compassion. It’s got it all.

Exhilarating
I’ve been meaning to write in many times and love your dynamic of joking around while addressing relevant ideas, concepts, even issues in sport. (1) goes back to fish food episode, and I wanted to let Meghan know that my wife’s service dog has a heart arrhythmia and was put on a heart med and GNC’s triple strength fish oil taking 3 at breakfast for the last year and upon annual checkup couldn’t detect the arrhythmia. She is still on the med and supplement but I take fish oil, turmeric and collagen for joint health as a runner. And notice a difference if I dont take my Vital Proteins collagen (20g) in awhile, it’s flavorless and I put in right in my coffee with breakfast. (2) I think I had something else to share, but definitely interested in more info on RED-S as someone with a history of anorexia, amenorrhea, and “treated” with the pill (birth control) vs Nutrition and seeing 1 nutritionist before one that was helpful, who was telling me things to avoid vs help my relationship with food, like I’m already avoiding so if you take away my limited diet this could be really bad. (3) listening to black cannons recap on my run today (had COVID last week so I’m behind) and wanted to mention a new hydration, well I think is new, with The Feed , for salty sweaters: Mortal Hydration with 950mg sodium!!

My favorite
I always save this Tuesday podcast for my long run later in the week. Can’t get enough of the fun, funny, smart, caring, positive, authentic Megan and David. It’s the best.

Fast-paced hilarity & training theory
I’ve learned & laughed more from this show than just about any pod I’ve ever listened to. Megan & David are incredibly knowledgeable and positioned as top coaches in the professional running scene. The random wisdom they drop on any given episode is profound. I wake up every Tuesday counting down the minutes until the new episode drops.

Just the right mix
Of head and heart, information and reflection. This is the top of my actual-time-listening list of podcasts by a mile (4 minute mile, that is). I especially love the unabashed positivity coming from two smarty pants who could easily get lost in critique and negativity. But no! This is all love and support (but not in a dumb way) and I couldn’t be more thankful. Huzzah, Roches! Huzzah!!!

so much fun
The original *not at all boring but still v nerdy* running podcast. Truly a joy to listen to!!!

A bit much
Pros: focus on research occasionally Cons: style of conversation not easy to listen to Also, please get to know a city before criticizing it so harshly. If you think Orlando is just highways and theme parks, you know not much about the area. There are plenty of runners in Florida and we like it for different reasons. The humidity was actually pretty low this past weekend. Let’s see what the weather is like in Paris! You have to meet the conditions of race day after all. It’s the United States of America btw, not the United State of Colorado.

Can I get the cliff notes?
They’re smart and there’s lots of good info. That being said, it’s awkward to listen to them hit on each other or describe how they’re touching one another under the table.

Great podcast!
I really like the podcast. So informational and motivational. My only qualm is that I have to listen to it at 0.75x speed. Seems like the speed it up because I listened to Megan on other podcasts and she talks way slower?
calpal1234!!!!!
Fun, funny, and informative
My favorite podcast. One of the only podcasts over an hour I routinely finish right away. Great for beginners and experienced runners. And even non-runners!

SWAP out!
I love listening to these podcasts. My only problem is that rather than playing them at regular speed or fast(you’ve alluded to this) I fear that I need them in slo-mo so I can have enough time to absorb all the juicy information! Maybe I’m just slow…🙄Huzzah!

Hot take
Here’s my hot take. There’s not enough people like David and Megan Roche in the world and only one podcast that I need every week…that’s the Some Work All Play podcast.
Simondragonslayor
Woo hoo!
David and Megan‘s podcast is at once goofy, loving, and packed with substantial information to make me a better runner…and human. They care. The performances of many of their coachees speak to the power of operating at the intersection of love and science.

LOVE conquers all
The world needs more humor, science, running and LOVE. David and Megan’s pod does this all and MORE.

The very best
I’ve learned so much about running from Megan and David and love how inclusive and uplifting they are.

Y’all don’t need to be doin all that
Chill with the sex jokes it’s cringey and embarrassing! I enjoy the running and science parts of the podcast. Even the silliness! But come one there’s a line…

Just read David’s articles instead
They’re brilliant about running performance, but don’t have a clue how to make a coherent podcast.

Fun and inspiring
Love this podcast, it always accompanies me on my weekend long run. David and Megan are so fun and super inspiring to listen to as a new ultra runner. They bring lots of laughs as well as a good deal of science backed content to the podcast. Every episode is a little different; it is nice to see variety across the episodes. Definitely worth a listen!

Wow. Wasted 45 minutes listening to these two vapid people yapping on and on while I was cleaning out a closet. Possibly the stupidest podcast I have ever listened to.

Megan and David are the best
Love them! Plenty of info to geek out about, but also a full daily dose of sexual innuendo and ridiculous rapport. I encourage everyone to get into their positive world view and incorporate their vibes into your runs and races.

Easily my favorite podcast
They are such sweet humans with amazing positivity. Such a ray of joy and hilarious content for the community!

Inspiration, comedy, and a ton of great information
I’m so happy I found this amazing podcast by Megan and David. I love their dynamic, knowledge, and how open they are with their listeners. Their energy is top notch! I listen while working, cooking, running, and whatever else I’m doing. The knowledge gained through this podcast helped me achieve my first 100 miler this year so big thanks to these folks! WOOHOO!

Big Love for the SWAP Podcast
I’ve been a listener since the podcast first began!! What a loser I am for not posting a review sooner. It’s been amazing to watch how David and Megan have grown this into the uplifting, food loving, science brained community that it is. I get so much emotional and fact driven value from each episode. LOVE the sexy science and that I can count on them to keep me updated with all things endurance science.

Best value in running training
Megan and David are a swirl of love and science just like a perfect soft serve cone. They live what they know and believe and coach with incredible openness. I chose to support them on Patreon because their podcast consistently educates and uplifts me twice a week on training runs. Possibly the most cutting edge science available for trail running. Their speedy, unbridled positivity and uncensored opinions (with plenty of gross jokes) is not for everyone, but I would encourage a new listener to hear them out for at least three sessions before forming an opinion. One of those should be #83, which was a continual revelation. Wonderful pod!

Love in podcast form
Megan and David are authentic, honest, and open. Through running, they ask deep questions and look at life in beautiful and open ways. I’ve learned endless things about trail running, pizza, cereal, dogs, joy, journeys, and life from David and Megan. Never have I loved a podcast more. Thank you for your wisdom and joy! You both make the world a better place! WHOOHOO! HUZZAH!!

Truly Amazing
Full disclosure, I thought they were talking at 1.5 speed on my podcast player, but once I realized this was their authentic and endearing way of speaking to each other, it has become a podcast that I genuinely look forward to every Tuesday. The positive self-talk that they model and incredible training advice has helped me both with my training and my approach to running. Thank you, David and Megan!!

Just the best running podcast
I enjoy the science and lightheartedness of the podcast. I even signed up for a Patreon membership and I am a cheapskate. But their information is worth it
Run because you can
Never ever take SWAP away from me
Megan and David are the kindest, most enthusiastic, and most delightfully weird running coaches on the planet. Every week is more than an hour of training science, oddly inappropriate r-rated jokes, and unconditional love. What more could a person possibly want??? TEN STARS.

Safe for sport
These two have unlocked the cheat codes and helped advance my running!! I’d recommend David and Megan to all! Keep jamming.

AMAZING
This podcast brings the positive energy we all need in our lives. David and Megan are incredibly knowledgeable but also hilarious and so much fun to listen to for hours on end each week. What could be a better combo than science packed info, funny banter, and preaching self love and community throughout. Give it a listen! You’ll quickly look forward to it each week... Or biweekly once you get addicted and can’t help but also join Patreon for some bonus content!

All the woo for all the world
This quickly became my favorite podcast. I love David and Megan’s endless wisdom, humor, and positivity as well as their deep commitment not only to running as a sport but to the entire community around it. I truly believe they’re making this community more inclusive and fun. Their generous knowledge has quickly transformed my running, made me believe in myself as a runner, and more importantly helped me better love myself, my body, and all the deliciousness of ample food, rest, and sexy science generally! Huzzah, friends!
