Are you always scared of failure? Think change has to be hard and overwhelming? Want your team to drive improvements on their own?
Experimentation can be the answer.
In today’s episode, I want to talk about what makes something a good experiment, and how to set up your own, small micro experiments in your day to day work, as well as how to encourage your team members to do the same.
But first, let’s talk about what makes a good experiment.
- Needs to be small - ideally should take less than 2 weeks to complete.
- Needs to have a way to measure the result
- Needs to be easily able to roll back if needed
- Needs to not sink the ship during the experiment
Some examples of experiments that I will talk through on this episode:
- Candidate offer acceptance rate - having all interviewers reach out once the offer is sent
- Employee retention - moving from weekly team huddles to daily team huddles
Happy listening!
