Today we are talking about what I feel is the most misunderstood rule in soccer, offsides. When I go to youth games and watch I always see people calling for offsides that are in no position to call it and often call for it when it was clearly not even close to an offside offense. This is one of the most difficult calls in the game and there is a reason that there is a linesman on both sides of the field whose main job it is to look out for and make this call.
