1 month ago I had a moment of clarity, and made one of the biggest decisions of my life - I filed for a separation/divorce. Now, I am trying to maneuver through the ever changing landscape of my life.

Episode 10 of the Sober Courage Podcast was recorded on the beach at Atlantic Beach, North Carolina, while on vacation. In this wind & waves filled episode, I am sharing with you about my crazy, ego-filled, big-headed past escapades while drinking at the beach, and since vacations can be a bit challenging sober, I am also sharing some of my favorite tools for staying sober and enjoying the beach!

I have an awesome update about my son and our struggles to help him with his ADHD. I also share a great little story about how I caught a HUGE resentment against my dentist. Then I dive into the sometimes difficult topic of losing and finding myself on social media as I am trying not to compare myself to others, and that leads me right into the deep topic of labels and finding our own recovery identity.

Note: This episode was recorded before Memorial Day Holiday weekend... but do to some technical difficulties, it did not get posted. Nevertheless, I am posting it now. On this episode I am sharing with you about the amazing support that I continue to find on the internet from perfect strangers who help me find my voice (and balls) to advocate for my son. I also talk about doing new things in sobriety that I used to only do while drunk and I throw in some suggestions on keeping busy thru the long holiday weekend.
