I’m not sure what to think about this. This seemed to be an hour of free association, top-of-the-head something. There didn’t seem to be any structure and frankly not really any cogent point. I’ll try again with some other person, but this was not very valuable.

Not just for Men
Your intro needs updating. Plenty of people won’t get passed the “for men” before turning off this great resource.

Bedtime listening
My husband and I listen to this podcast every night. We enjoy the variety in speakers and workshops and the descriptions are well written. It fills in the gaps between meetings.

Great podcast!
Thanks for putting this together! Lots of great episodes. I want to commend the labeling efforts. Sometimes I’m looking for a story but most of the time I’m looking for workshops. I appreciate that it’s easy to locate based on the title. I also appreciate the effort at marking things like “funny” or “humor” - I’m not particularly into that style but I know a lot of people are so it helps to know what I’m getting. I also appreciate categorizing the date of the talk so I know whether it will be Zoom. Thanks again!

Meh
I don’t know why a lot of people who got sober at a young age are so militant in their interpretation of the literature. A lot of them sound the same and appear to be tied up in the dogma of “the black print”. I don’t know but it sounds like these people tie into this because it gives them a sense of control. Personally I need to remember that the book was written by a single man with little input from the first 70 and slightly more help from a man who died drunk. Anyways, I love the basic text and this may help a lot of people. I tuned in for a moment. See y’all out there on the road.

There when you need a meeting
Definitely worth a listen. There's something for everyone in recovery in this podcast. It's always there if I need a meeting or could use some ESH or Good Orderly Direction on my commute.

I listen to this podcast and it just makes my day!! Thank you to those for sharing with us and letting us grow and helping us each day! I am so grateful for this outlet especially on days when I can’t get to a meeting or just need to feel close to others! Good but sometimes lacking direction
The meeting are great. My only feedback is that a lot of the meetings are focused on so much humor that it takes a while for the speaker to get to the point. It’s more like a comedy show. A little humor is okay but often there’s so much it drags out and you can lose interest easily. I wish that would be screened for better.

Sober Cast
It’s great if your male! Maybe, 1 female speaker per 20 male speakers. Typical.

Love it!
I’m so happy I found this podcast! Today I have 11 years sober, and I just started a new job. Listening to podcasts helps get me through the day, and it’s like being in a meeting. Thank you!

As a member of AFG I love these podcasts - I’d be willing to pay a subscription fee for additional AlAnon talks or for more than one talk per day.

Standing in the edge of sobriety.
It’s amazing how the characters change, but no matter the decade, the story remains the same. Getting sober is really the only way. Good luck to you all.

Such a great tool to use for my recovery
This podcast has helped me through a lot of hard times when making a real AA speaker meeting wasn’t possible. SUCH a fantastic resource for anyone trying to not drink or use one day at a time.

I am so grateful for Sobercast!! Some Of the world’s best speakers 🔊 including Stan T from Sacramento who was super instrumental in my early sobriety. He is still important to me and it was a treat to listen tonight.

Marty C - Full workshop Trusting in a Higher Power
Absolutely loved this and listened to it again so I could write down his “pearls of wisdom”. I hadn’t heard him before but I could have listened to him for hours! The 3 1/2 flew by! Please post more workshops that carry depth and weight. Thank you for your service!

Sponsors
I love this podcast. I love recovery. I love AA. But this latest episode bothered me. Sponsors need to explain to sponsees that there are some things you do not share from the podium. These young people are welcome to AA but they are different in many ways from us older people, they are not as filtered. The episode titled Jeffery and Kelly is specifically what I am talking about. The older AAs do not want to hear about a girl getting “finger blasted”. That info might belong in a different program but not in AA. There are appropriate ways to talk about such things using appropriate language. Whoever this girls sponsor is I hope you can help her!!! And young lady, if you do not have a sponsor, find one! One who is over 40!

So grateful for this podcast. What a service to us. And I really appreciate how the sound is filtered, even when quality isn’t always great. If you are new or old, this is a great resource.

Astrid H speaker review
Good afternoon, I just listened to this podcast for the first time today. I heard Astrid H speak. I really appreciated the various topics that she covered. I listened today first as a person and second as a therapist. I found tools in many ways for both roles. As a therapist, I do tend to see things through the lens of recovery principles. Much of what she said rang true.

Saved my mind
This show was my lifeline when I spent days laying in bed, still hungover from the last bender, emotionally exhausted, and feeling like death. Sobercast kept me going when nothing else seemed to reach me, and it also inspired me to finally take that next step and I got a sponsor. I can honestly say I might not be sober today if not for this podcast. Thank you all who take the time to put this up every day, and God bless!

Grateful
Grateful to have found this podcast in early sobriety. I continue to listen as much as possible. I’ve shared so many of these stories with my sober friends. It’s great to have this pocket meeting when I’m unable to get to an in-person. Thank you speakers for sharing your hope.

I usually give 4 stars
Not every speaker or topic on this podcast is great and awe inspiring but a few of them literally inspired me to the core and help to change and reshape my life for the better! And for that I must give it 5 stars :)

Singleness of purpose
I love this Podcast! It is really helping me understand mostly how selfish I am and why I drank! The less of me, the more God fills my life with love and service to others. I love every one of these speakers. I just want to give them all a big hug and tell them all thank you for sharing the language of the heart with me, with us! God bless you all. Love you today, Johnny H! So proud of you!

Hello! Enjoy this podcast!
I have to thathis podcast for having such a positive impact on my life as I am 8 years plus sober , but needed something to listen to during tough times , I am paralyzed from a spinal cord injury about 9 years ago and then had a bad stroke 5 years ago.. and with COVID-19 going on our AA meeting have been put on hold!! Ughh! Talk about hard times! Thespreskers are very good! and I must listen now so if I can come back and comment more I will. Later! Ok great thanks. I might donate a bit down the road!

Just wonderful!!!
I really don’t know what to say I’m in tears, because this is the reason I started A.A. I’ve listened to this pod cast for 2months or so and it’s what gave me the courage and strength to quit alcohol and join AA. 4 days sober and I finally joined today and have my very first meeting tonight!! Thank you so much for this podcast I will always continue to donate.

Adding podcast?
How do you get a speaker added to the podcast? The Alumni group in Austin (Recovery Network) had a wonderful speaker tonight that others would benefit.
