So Wrong It Is Write ✏️
So Wrong It Is Write ✏️

This podcast and its sister blog have a triple bottom line - which is an academic way of saying there are three reasons for the blog/podcast. Reason one relates to my professional identity and how my lived experiences have shaped my professional identity. Reason two relays to the structure of society—specifically how the structure of society has given rise to institutions and social norms. Reason three relates to the written legislative laws hard and soft, which prevent thinking outside the social norms. Like Facebook, page facebook.com/DavidMitchellHowie to stay up to date. #SWIWPod

Why are there is much inequality in society? My aim this month was to focus on the international day of the girl. Unfortunately, I was unable to find anyone to come on and talk about this issue. Therefore the focus was mainly on different minds, which is a Scottish Government campaign to highlight the effects of autism. For more info on different minds see:    https://differentminds.scot/

Build Back Better?
What is Build Back Better? The problem is society does not know. Networked communities sit around a table and talk to each other, however, never to "other". They are too different, what would they know? A lot. The problem is "street further" is a social norm within social science. This podcast is only, my second, I hope I  am learning.

Personal and Professional identity
The main thing the listener should understand about this first podcast is that it focuses on explaining why I called the podcast/blog “So wrong it is write” I also talk in some detail about my own experiences of having a childhood brain tumour and stroke and how I have come to embrace the label disabled as opposed to removing the tag.  I also introduce my theory of the “societal triangle” and explain why this theory-informed my chosen podcast/blog name.
