“My purpose and the book's purpose is to figure out why do you need to change your house, what do you need to change, how are you going to change it? But the how is the last part, you gotta figure out why first.”
Today I sit down and chat with Rebecca West, who is the founder of Seriously Happy Homes, a design firm located in Seattle, Washington. She is a self-taught interior designer and talks all about her experience as to how she got into this career. “Make sure you enjoy what you’re doing and that you genuinely like it” - Sueva
“My biggest advice is use social media to your advantage and you’ll find ways to engage with your audience” - Aliyah
Today I sit down and chat with Aliyah and Sueva, who are both co-hosts of their own podcast! The concept of their podcast is choosing two words to talk about and their viewpoints about topics that relate to the theme of the episode. We talk about their experience creating a podcast together, how they came up their own concept and how they market their podcast on Instagram!
Listening to the two of them talk and bounce off each other was a real treat. These two are best friends and it is very clear in this episode, as well as in their own podcast!

“I think I would tell myself to really just hold tight and that it’s going to be hard, but, I think the rewards at the end are so worth it. All those hardships that you’re gonna face are going to be worth it and that you’re going to be resilient and they are going to make you stronger. What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger is so true.”

“Now these don’t seem to be big wins in the moment, these are things that have affected and changed my daily life for the better. It isn’t about huge monumental things that need to happen in order for you to reach your goals. It can be small things that work toward you getting to be your best self out there. “
Welcome back to the “So Today I Learned…” Podcast! I am so excited to be back for season 2. This episode, I sit down and talk to you all about goals for the new year and hopes for 2021. This episode focuses on going in strong to the new year and continuing to be the best possible version of ourselves out there. I want to focus on goal setting and creating a positive lifestyle for myself.
What are your goals for 2021?

“I do feel upset that I wasn’t given the college experience that I should’ve had but this was the college experience I was meant to have because I was able to focus so much on my family, my dog and especially my health. Like that has been the most rewarding thing about being remote this semester”
Today’s episode is a solo episode with your host, Megan. She sits down and chats about the year of 2020, her thoughts on being a remote college student and how she managed to work on herself this entire year.
3 Things Megan has learned during 2020:
Take advantage of all the time with friends and family you can
Be smart and safe but also have fun
Focus on what makes you happy and stick to it
The podcast will be taking a two week break so Megan can focus on preparing season 2 and celebrating the holidays! The next episode will be out on January 5th! She looks forward to seeing you then!

“I would say that having the mindset of ‘it’s your life so you choose how to live it’, that might sound cheesy but I think that it’s a good thing and if it is going to make you happy you should go for it.”
Today I sit down with Sabrina Marley who is currently working on her own career in the fashion industry. We chat about her experiences in school at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising and how that set up the path for post-grad. She has always been interested in fashion and always wanted to have her own clothing line. We also chat about her side projects, like her own podcast and starting the process of her own fashion line. So I would love to keep expanding it and see where it goes in the future.”

“If you don’t agree with an idea, ask about it. It’s so great to be able to learn from others and different perspectives and be open to their ideas because they might start something for you to think of something else. It’s so great to learn from others and collaborate with other people.”
Today is another solo episode! Yesterday was my 21st birthday, so today I am telling you 21 things I learned before turning 21 years old! Sit back, relax and enjoy a little chat between you and me :)
