My all-time favorite podcast
Each week, Sneaky Dragon features a funny, intelligent, and thoughtful conversation between two fellows who share their observations on a wide variety of subjects including the comic arts scene, film, television, music, politics, pop culture, history, people, relationships, and, sometimes, even pets. Co-hosts Ian Boothby and David Dedrick are friends from way back who obviously enjoy each other’s company, as well as the company of the occasional special guest. Always engaging, they are consistently witty, and often hilarious. While they usually keep things lighthearted, they are not afraid to get serious, and when the subject becomes personal, they can be sensitive and disarmingly candid. The discussions are unrehearsed and largely improvised, and episode duration seems to be governed by the time required to cover the topics at hand. Language is sometimes explicit, but not really offensive, and never mean-spirited. Ian and David live in the greater Vancouver area in British Columbia, and it’s often interesting to hear a Canadian perspective on US politics and culture. I look forward to each new episode and urge others to give the show a try. Honestly, the podcast is so entertaining that I often go back and listen to older episodes I’ve already heard. In addition, the two occasionally release specialized, limited-run podcast series, and many of these are also very good. For example, the Compleatly Beatles podcast series (from 2013-2014) is excellent and well worth checking out. The current Sneaky Dragon Listening Party series (featuring David Dedrick and his daughter, Mary) is very entertaining, and has exposed me to a treasure trove of unfamiliar (to me, anyway) music. On the other hand, I listened to, but didn’t really connected with, the special film-oriented Totally Tin Tin and Full Marx podcast series. Still, I like the podcasts enough to offer monthly support through Patreon.

New Listener
I learned about this podcast about a month ago through the sister podcast Full Marx and found the hosts so endearing that I had to check out the parent cast. These two are hilarious together and their smooth tangenting from topic to topic will leave you with a constant smile on your face as they cover a wide variety of topics from comics to movies to improve and deck talk.
As I’m about to episode 120 from their website and they are just as great 2 years in as they were on day one. Also check out the wonderful art by David Dedrick.

Comics, Movies, TV and comedy... Come Sneak with me!
Wonderful podcast. A couple hours with Dave and Ian go by delightfully fast.
It’s like hanging out with your best friend- Everything’s a joke, or a potential joke, and they’re not afraid to throw out some clunkers.
Diversions and digressions are the order of the day- and there’s a rabbit hole around every corner.
Fun guys.

Terrific Entertainment.
As a Marx Brothers fan since I was 10 (a mere 43 years ago) it has been a delight reliving the Marx Brothers movies with Ian and David. Their dry wit and obvious admiration of the Marx films is refreshing. Knowledgeable and entertaining, a great listen for the Marx purists, or just the beginner getting to know these films for the first time. Sad there is only one film left, and a sad film it is indeed! Great job guys. Thanks for a great ride!

Long time fan
Hi Sneaky crew! I've been a fan for a while. On what has been one of my favourite birthdays, we decided to cruise up to Canada to check out their live show, and hang around a bit. It was super fun, and I'd love to do it again. I love to listen to their podcasts, there's a very personal touch to their episodes. I love catching up on what they've been up to or what's been going on in their lives every week. If you like listening to convos between two guys that don't necessarily have to go anywhere but take you on a nice ride, I definitely recommend this podcast. Also as a Tintin fan when I was younger, I would recommend checking out some of their offshoots on their website! :) Thanks Ian and Dave for an awesome birthday a few years back, and thank you for this lovely podcast.

Funniest Podcast I've listened to
You know that when the first words you hear on the show is "incestuous nazi porn" that you're about to go on one hell of a ride.
These two are my two favorite podcasters. They mix comedy and intelligent conversation in a perfect blend. You can get a very civilized debate or you can get a whole show full of sex jokes, it's really the luck of the draw, and I think that's one of the most appealing things about it. You will never get the same show twice (exceptions being the occasional q&a episodes).
David is the perfect mix of awkward humor and intellect, which blends perfectly with Ian's comedic wit. And to top it all off, they are two very nice people, extremely sincere and are quick to answer to feedback or questions. And if you enjoy this then be sure to listen to Compleatley Beatles (an extremely in depth look at the entire Beatles catalog) and totally Tintin (which I haven't listen to yet since I haven't read Tintin as of yet m, but I'm sure it's extremely entertaining).
In conclusion, thank you Ian and David for giving all listeners a nice break from reality (which I have said to them before via email) and entertaining us while doing something they seem to enjoy extremely.

Ep 212 - Funniest episode yet
I've enjoyed every episode since I started listening to Ian and David's podcast but I don't think I've laughed as long or as loud as this last episode. The review of the plotholes in "Radiers of the Lost Ark", Ian's Christmas get-together story, the discussion of the legendary Micronauts cartoon...it is always fun listening to Ian and David's show. Wonderful title cards also!

very intelligent hour or so
I discovred this podcast thru their "comleately Beatles" podcast, which I woudl highly reccomend. Self described "stream of conciousness', these guys are brilliant. One an improv comic, the other a genious and expert on just about everything, if you want highly intelligent, very funny, and very insgithful comments on family, politics, movies, TV, music, philosophy, all things Canadian, food, sex, esthetics, and anythng else, tune in to this weekly podcast. I certainly do

Like Hanging Out With Funny Friends
What is this podcast about? Whatever comes up. How can two guys talking about random stuff be so entertaining? You'll just have to listen to find out. I discovered them through their (wonderful) Compleatly Beatles spinoff and now I can't imagine a week without at least an hour of Ian and Dave's ramblings. Whether they're getting political or deep or just goofing around, discussing life's great problems or types of chocolate bars, they always make me smile in the end. Thanks, guys!

Very Good
Worth listening to for sure, thanks for having me as a listener. A Crackcast.
I Love the Beatles cast too, but this is way more fun.

Makes me smile every time...
The best podcasts, I think, start with an solid rapport between the hosts, and this one has that completely. Ian Boothby and David Dedrick are fantastic together; they make every topic they get into enjoyable. I am not a comic lover - by that, I mean I do not particularly get into comics - but these fellows have a gift for making even that talk interesting and fun. I especially appreciate episodes when they open up about their lives and who they are: super guys with a lot of heart, humor, and delightful insights on life! (Check out their Compleatly Beatles podcast as well. Also excellent!)

A Gen X Tour de Force!
Sneaky Dragon isn't just my favorite podcast, it's my favorite non-fictional show of any kind. Although comics, TV, and film are often central topics of discussion, no aspect of culture, past, present, or pop is off limits. Presented with wit and aplomb by two smart, thoughtful, irreverent hosts. Here's hoping they never stop.

These guys are really great, I love all their talking. I found out about them by looking on a convention website, and it mentioned they did this podcast :) so then I was all like awesome! Check it! This podcast is so awesome, I just listen to it all day :)

Check it out
I first heard Ian as a guest on Caustic Soda and decided to check out his podcast. Ian and Dave make a great team and they've had some great guests from the comic scene lately

Tm. Anyway coming from hearing Ian on Caustic Soda. I don't know if it's coke or meth or what, but this is the best stream of consciousness stuff I've heard in a while. Good stuff.
