Hello, movie maniacs!

This week Mary and David watched Craig Gillespie’s Supergirl. Gillespie has directed a couple of films that Mary and David love – I, Tonya and the Fright Night remake – so they were really looking forward to this film.

They talked about the gross hate campaign directed at yet another female-led superhero movie; admired the backstory that explains so much of Kara’s behaviour; got irretrievably stuck on James Gunn’s Peacemaker series; and overall enjoyed the movie quite a bit despite a few reservations.
